He was on the Cole Cubelic show(Huntsville, Al) this morning saying that Currie has no intentions of replacing Butch and that if he goes 8-4 or 7-5 he will keep is job. He also said that Tennessee is lucky to have Butch and that they won't be able to get anyone better.

Heard the same show on my way to work this morning. Every week they put Griffith on the radio I cringe so hard. I cant stand the guy every since he started appearing on that show. He carries the water and on top of that, tries to poke fun at anyone who thinks that Jones isn't going to be here next year.

Hey, BC. I was wondering if you were going to make an appearance in this, 2017 edition, thread.

Been reading the last week or so and once people started having their real lives potentially affected I decided to post a snippet of what happened to me as a warning to others. It all got carried away and a lot of things were said that I should have never said in a forum but I was naive about forum anonymity being investigated and outed. I post now and then but much less frequent.

SMDH that many of you just cannot bring yourselves to understand the "beaver" poster was FOS regarding Gruden. Why he was FOS is understood only by him, maybe bad info fed to him, whatever but FOS he was. It is what it is, it was what it was.

You know this how? Please, tell me how you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is fos. Hint....you don't have any more of a clue that he is than the people you are squawking at who think what he says is gospel. He may very well be fos, but stop acting like you know for sure. And for the record, I have my reservations on believing him, but I don't know.

Any poster reporting Gruden was coming 5 years ago or during this upcoming cycle of UT football coach was promoting vaporware, a neverwas, a neverwouldbe, a fantasy. If you bought it five years ago, okay the trolls did a great job with it (seeing signed contract with own eyes, swearing on this or that), I was in that bucket with you. However if you were there for that and were buying the same BS this time around and NOT warning the new rubes about the first screwjob the Grudenitetrolls pulled then it's on you not me.

Glad you stopped in with this great treasure of advice (IN THIS GRUDEN THREAD XXI) many of us are in here because we want to avoid the negative of the other forums

I actually think this will all go much smoother if none of us knows what is going on. Again, leakers tend to have motives and we don't know what those are.

I fear Butch may finish out the season and delay the process. JMO, no insider info. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of the Vols and to get someone else up to the podium. Next couple of games could change that, though.

If the UTAD is that stupid, they deserve the full brunt of the $hitstorm that would come their way. Oh, and there's no way we finish 8-4 or 7-5 anyway. I don't see another win on our schedule. We are currently the equivalent of a mid level MAC team.

Haven't fished much since early spring bought a Malibu this year and have been surfing and wakeboarding with my son. We sold the big boat and the bass boat but I caught over 200 12"+ crappie at the marina this spring and had a big fry. Still love some crappie beat fish on earth!

Which tells me UT doesn't care about winning-AKA football. If they wait till end of season the next coach already needs to be found and ready for press conference because he's gonna have to hit that recruiting trail hard.

There may be a deal in place, but I guarantee that “ink isnt dry” on a contract. Legal issues to clear before that is done. It’s like I would tell candidates that interviewed with me....”the job is yours, I just have to jump through some legal and HR hurdles first.”
