Really? If Gruden was the hire, what's stopping him, Currie, the BOT and a number of other people privy to the info to go out and place significant bets shortly before things are announced publicly?
While I think a lot of the time the guys on Fox sports Knoxville just stir up stuff, I will agree with what they are saying this morning. There is a large disconnect between the academic side of the University and the athletic side of the University. Alabama changed around the academic calendar to suit the football team so that they could be more successful. In return the athletic side gives more money to the academic side. This in return allows the academic side to hand out more scholarships etc. to build the school. At Tennessee the academic side has this elitist mentality and they dont care what happens with the football team and they feel like they can do the academics on their own. Until there is a mutual understanding from each other and probably some changes to our academic calendar to suit the football team and practice schedules we are going to be stuck in mediocrity. Its probably one of the reasons why a guy like Jon Gruden will not take the job

I've been wondering something regarding some of the big boosters.... why do they give so much money to the university? What's in it for them?
I'd love to think they just love the Vols - but there has to be something in it for them for it to be such a popular thing.
Do they receive a return on investment in any way other than wins? Are there major tax benefits for donating?
Surely I'm missing something.
Get to know Frosts offense with this article. Go get him now Currie!

I believe those type of bets are only with offshore entities. I don't think Vegas takes those type of bets. I guess there is nothing stopping someone close to them doing it other than it's probably immoral and could cost them a job.
I guess what I'm driving at is can I trust you guys to tell me it's really, really, really SOON so I can, let's say, invest in the announcement?
Immorality went out the window towards the end of the 2nd half of the UMass game and my job is expendable, at least to me.

That's his game. His arguments are so ridiculously stupid that it makes it hard not to call him out on it. That's why he should be ignored by all posters. By ignoring him that protects us from ourselves lol

Here is the play.....
And this is how you described it Bruin.....
Let's keep it real Bruin. You embellished what happened so you could take a position on an island with everyone defending the former Vol.
Ziti,
It really is simple. I misremembered how low the hit was.
After going to twitter I tried to edit the post before it was read to keep this from happening. I even posted the play because others wanted to see it.
I was wrong about it being low but it doesn't change anything else I posted as the play was 100% dirty. More importantly it doesn't change that Gruden called DB out for the play and very Hashly at that. I bet he gets a hefty fine as well .
