We've been the national punchline far longer than John Currie, and pretty sure whether it is 1 more game or the rest of the season, our brand will be just fine once we hire a decent coach. So until we hire a bad one, might want to think happy thoughts.

Im not sure what the "circumstances" are really and could see how it could be debated either way.

kirby looks smart bc his entire team returned after last yr. Every big contributor except the QB and the #3 RB is a senior or a top level junior thats about to leave early for the draft. That helps you look good on gameday.

As I see them, the circumstances are that there simply aren't any can't-miss coaches on the market outside of Kelly, and by all accounts he isn't interested.

You go to war with the army you have, as they say.

OK. Trying to think through that one. His younger players/recruits become more experienced in the future. Are you saying they will regress when that happens?

Assuming Frost is rarely (if ever) able to duplicate the best ever version of that offense without having Kelly/Helfrich on staff, how can we think that style could get us to the promised land?

I think Frost would bring an above average O at the SEC level. As far as getting to the promised land, that’ll depend on who we get as D coordinator. Common denominator of the top teams is they have great defenses.

It's hilarious. Also the offense will be using SEC athletes from TN, GA, Fla, etc. if he ended up coaching here. It will work

Which may or may not be true considering Jones is still employed and there is very little to nothing coming from those that matter. At least from the sense you know it to be fact.

For the record, Im not against Frost, just haven't seen enough to feel great about that move yet. Even if you remove the handful that are considered 1st tier guys. If UT lands him after turning over a few other stones, it is what is. He's just not one of the first 3 or 4 I get a "no" from. And he's probably not the last guy I talk to even if thats where he falls in the line.

He would bring his current DC chinander. Viewed as a rising star in profession apparently. Has some college and NFL experience. UCF his first shot as a DC. Been wth Frost a while. They play tough on d very multiple.

People on here arguing that they need to see more from Frost and he is questionable... I have a question, would you like another year or two of Butch, or hit the reset button with Frost?
