When he's diagnosed with a degenerative injury, then I'll give this the credence it deserves but, until then, I'll believe that this is another player rumored to have issues with Butch who has chosen to use an injury as an excuse to get away from our abomination of a head coach.

So he’s ending his career so he doesn’t have to play for a coach who’s not going to be here?

SBV, I respect your opinion. But I've had enough of this bullsh!t excuse that it's a knee-jerk reaction to fire a coach who is overseeing a TD deficiency that goes back to the UMASS game.

I get that they have a plan, that's fine, but this is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

It’s a knee jerk reaction to fire an AD who doesn’t react to your exact timeline. Resume plastic surgery.

Get ready, guys. We're going to be competing with Florida for a coach this year. They'll target Chip Kelly and land on Scott Frost. We'll target Jeff Brohm and get Mike Norvell.

I haven't said anything about firing Currie, other's have. Let Currie stay.

As for Jack, it was rumored he wanted to leave earlier in the year due to issues with Butch...maybe that's b.s., maybe not.

Either way, fire Butch. Now.

You guys understand there is a process for applying for medical status to keep a kid like this on scholarship?

If he goes thru that process it is clear cut.

Yeah, Bama does that all the time and we all know that is completely above board.

It was rumored that JJ was considering leaving the team...we filled in the conjecture afterwards.

Anyone that was surprised Butch is still around wasn’t listening and had false expectations.

This AD won’t operate like that.

He could lose to Kentucky and still coach the week after.

This AD has a plan and he is executing it.

It isn’t on your timetable or with knee-jerk reactions.

Honest question, do you know what some elements of the plan are? Can someone reassure a very fragile fanbase that we are not about to plummet to the lower dredges of the SEC and reside there ad infinitum?

People keep overestimating the admin and boosters' involvement in this process. Right now, it's the UTAD at work. Currie isn't oblivious; he's just doing things his way, on his timeline.

I've grown impatient. I'll be fine once he's gone...

So long as it's not a Mike Bobo-esque hire.

TOTAL SPECULATION HERE:

TKJR tried to play thru an injury then was upset this year and now Jack. Is it possible both would've been better serve to get surgery or whatever they needed sooner and instead where encouraged to try and play thru it? Is that why we heard earlier both had quit. Who knows?

I don't think it would be considered a "knee jerk" reaction anymore. I wouldn't have called it that after SC honestly.

Unless Currie thinks he can save a decent finish with an interim I don't think it matters too much anyway as to when.

Now if for some odd reason "the plan" includes trying to bring Jones back with some epic wins over Southern Miss, KY and Mizzou, Im good with letting him figure it out however he thinks is best.

His job is to get it fixed and the new coach isn't taking over this season.

Bobo could be decent. He knows what it takes to win in the SEC and had some really good offenses at UGA. He would need to hire a good staff but I think he knows that. He’s still way down the list of people we should contact.

Here is a scenario I want you all to think about that I feel 100% confident will play out.

Peyton is out there behind the scenes talking to people trying to find our next coach believing his input and expertise will be held into high regard.

Meanwhile, Big Jim is doing is own search.

It’s very conceivable they burn a bridge with Peyton on this deal.

Doug Matthews has eluded to the fact we aren’t getting a “big time” program changing for the better hire.

I thought Doug Matthews said the opposite and we were in a much better position just a month or so ago. What changed?
