You guys understand there is a process for applying for medical status to keep a kid like this on scholarship?

If he goes thru that process it is clear cut.

When he's diagnosed with a degenerative injury, then I'll give this the credence it deserves but, until then, I'll believe that this is another player rumored to have issues with Butch who has chosen to use an injury as an excuse to get away from our abomination of a head coach.

I am not Sold on Doreen unless he finishes this season strong but he is ahead of Frost and other "up and comers" for one big reason. He has power 5 head coaching experience and if he wins another big game or two he will have won at a very high level. He like Frost and other lower level coaches won big at lower levels as he was 23-4 at Northern Illinois.

He's not at the top of my list but could be in a few more weeks. He's been a winner everywhere he has gone.

Doeren*

Doeren is 2-9 vs ranked opponents at NC State in 3 years. Both of those wins have come against opponents (FSU and Louisville) who are now out of the top 25 and have lost at least 3 games a piece. FSU has lost 4.

I like him overall, but I don't think he can win consistently in the SEC and he shouldn't even get a look.

Edit* He has two big games coming up. We will know a lot more about him after those.

Aside from LSU, the teams that are left on the schedule aren't worthy of salvaging his job. If they are, then I'm done--and the majority of Vols fans should be too.

This school is too steeped in tradition and pageantry to be lowered to settling for wins over Mizzou, Vandy and Kentucky to "save the season."

Fulmer was let go mid-season after losing to Wyoming. We haven't scored an offensive touchdown in over a month.

Which is worse?

Fulmer was actually let go before Wyoming; the team was in turmoil over the firing and that precipitated the loss to Wyoming. If UT hadn't fired Fulmer, we almost certainly would have made a bowl and the team could have rebounded the next year.

In hindsight, UT could have benefited by giving Fulmer another year and harmed the program by keeping Dooley a year too long. UTAD was too impulsive in one scenario and too indecisive in the other. Currie certainly isn't being impulsive.

Time will tell because we know anothe coach is coming.

The rumors he almost quit in preseason didn't add up because Jones has been the host and right hand man for Butch in recruiting many times. I am guessing the medical issues were involved during that time in question

Love how he always talks about what he sees in practices. It's so obvious that practice isn't translating into Gameday

In other words, he doesn’t know what he’s seeing. If he commmented on what he sees in a game, he would be held against what many others see who know more than him.

CBJ was asked if QD was available to play last Saturday and he said yes but in a prior question he responded to a question about whether QD would be available this week and he said QD is working through some things. - It'll be interesting to see how this gets sorted out by the Knox media.

Agreed. He needs another big win to boosted his stock. My original list wasn't intended to be in order. So I will correct it here.

Sham did more in 1 game that Martin as done his whole career here. Martin should not even sniff the field again.

Also said nothing will change on offensive play calling. It’s insanity. Nothing less. I have no desire to watch Tennessee play anymore. There is truly no hope for Saturday’s anymore.
