Wow.......I'm still on the same page for a while. (Now, when the post shows up, it will be another page -Lol).

Edit. Just as I guessed!

Good morning all. After reading overnight discussion, I really have nothing to offer other then the dude who said we have a "mean" fanbase.....Sounds like the comment of a man without a pair of balls. That's the verbage of the female species for peat sake. I put NO stock in it!

Was it Butch Jones you were reading? 😬

My eyes still hurt from last nights posts. I couldn't read fast enough to keep up. I thought I had broken my refresh keys. I finally quit and just went to bed. Anyway, I have a hard time believing Butch is fired today because if so, they wouldn't have let him have his pc yesterday. JMO.

Ahem, Mr. Currie...

I think Butch is done but they don't want to fire him during the season. Jimmy Hyams said on 104.5 that Fulmer really does not want to fire a coach in the middle of the season, since he himself was a coach fired during the season. He also was a little more negative than usual saying that the only way Butch keeps his job is if he wins out (his opinion) but that he would probably not win out b/c this is the worst offense he's ever seen

Also said he would not want to be in Butch's shoes if they lose to Kentucky which to me translated to he doesn't make it to Monday morning pc with a job if he loses this weekend

Two things jump out at me. One has been stated over and over - the complete silence from the AD. The second thing that made me think we are in good hands - Fuad Reviez stating that he thought that Currie had a list in hand since sometime last year. He was pissed after the game and all but said "Fire Butch!" The list in hand comment had me thinking that this process has been occurring for a while. He also talked for a bit about the back channel stuff. Plus, if Currie has hit the back channels then Butch knows how the game is played, he's working that side hard too so he can save his own career. I don't think these two are at odds. They know it's over and they are both working to get to the end, just from different angles.

I think every AD should always have a list ready of possible coaches. That’s their job to be prepared in case that happens.

So, yes. I believe Currie should have a list ready.

Would be really bad if he changed his story now, eh. What else do you expect him to say? He’s past the point of no return- has to ride it to the end now. Watch for small things over the coming weeks that give him an exit.

Will probably start with “I’m hearing rumblings but waiting on more Info,” before moving to “not liking what I’m hearing guys” and lastly .... “we lost him”

Then we can debate how something spooked him away at the last minute. Yada yada yada. Same stories 5 years later.

You are absolutely right. He is past the point of no return. And win or lose on gruden this guy has my respect bc of how he has went about this. Dudes either telling us the truth and we don’t want to believe it. Or he’s the worlds best liar.

He doesn’t have any loops in his story. He hasn’t waivered at all. Everyone else that are “insiders” have been back and forth from info to mis-info.

I also live in chattanooga. The honors golf course is what stuck with me the most. That place is as prestige as it gets. And probably as private as Augusta. Hell I didn’t even know it existed until I was in my late teens and I have lived here all my life.

Now I’m not saying that he’s 100% accurate. But his story has some hope in it. And with that hope it means, I’m gruden until I’m not!! Go Vols hope ol purple face is gone today

I think you're missing the point that for some of us, this is the fun!

I thought about that very thing 2 minutes after I posted and I apologize. I guess my concern was running off our 'insiders'.. False prophets or not, this thread wouldn't be as fun without them...

To be clear on that point, they have never said they were insiders, only that they knew "insiders". They should be called People With Connections.....:)

Edit: Only LWS that is.

Watching Currie and butch is like watching a cat play with a maimed mouse. It can only go on so long.

Years ago my cat, Cat (God rest his soul), had a chipmunk trapped on the back patio playing some kind of evil game of one man soccer with it. My better angels took control and I made Cat let him go..

Maybe Currie should just let Butch go....

Waiting on another Beaver sighting.

He said he wouldn't be around for awhile due to being busy, I believe.
I think he's probably going away because of all the amateur sleuthing going on or most likely to work all of you into a frenzy. Then whenever/if he returns, you guys will be so starved for his "info" you will lap up any far fetched claims he puts out.

He certainly is a master of his craft.

This!!!!!

And yet another recap for those just joining us this fine AM...

Jim Harbaugh is still at Michigan. John Harbaugh is still at the Baltimore Ravens.

Rumor that Jones had been let go.

But we weren't that lucky.

Ape was sad. Seemed to cheer up after a while.

Doyle reached "insider" status.

Smokeyhuntsgators went into "Mom mode" and told us to behave.

Beaver continues to stand by his original thoughts, but some question as to the wording he uses.

And plays a really fast round of golf along with a few others on here.

Jalen Reeves-Maybin put out a Tweet that had the entire forum turn into CIA code breakers.

Bubba continues to be cryptic and dropping bombs.

Freak is quietly chuckling as he puts a 116 foot Sunseeker Yacht on order from the proceeds of the Grudenmania thread clicks.

And some of ya'll get up at completely ungodly hours.

As expected, SFD couldn't stay away and came back with a sharp post (though she did manage almost 10 hours)

Tuesday still could get interesting.

I'll update again in a little while for those not wishing to peruse the whole thread.

Please remove my insider status quote.
After my experiment last night I am positive someone will take you seriously.

I don't care what MIT's agenda is, I still want him/her to post, so can we stop trying to ID? I can see why ppl say his posts remind them of VolReporter (I was here in 2012 but didn't remember that name but have since read that other thread showing VR's comments). I am one of the ones who believed Gruden was coming back then. There was one theory posted back then that boosters had put the deal together & Hart balked. I believe that's what happened. My hunch now is that we're past that hurdle with Currie & hopefully with Bev et al. AA-AD environment was more toxic then, but I think some of those grudges are still there (& really academics vs sports is a tale as old as time) so this could still fall apart. I think deal being "done" meaning all have agreed but signatures aren't on paper yet. I'm still puzzled by timing of announcing Butch's departure (I believe insiders who said he's been told).

Grudemorning folks! And for those that were up last night or reading this morning. I was only interested in good steakhouses nothing more. LOL! I don't live in K-town and know all the neighborhoods. Conners,Ye old, I used to love Regas. SOON!!!! GBO!!!!!!

Fuad Reviez talked about what the team was like for his sons when a coach was fired mid-season. He said that, basically, things just went to crap. Players showed up when they felt like it and no one was accountable for anything. He does not seem to be a Butch fan (understatement, lol) but he has said repeatedly that it is better for a coach to finish the season. Now, IMO, he loses to Kentucky....he's gone!

I agree 100%

Why would he continue on with game? I personally don't grab this info and run out and tell everyone "We got the Grude" I'll wait and see, but it is good stuff if its the truth. If it's not, what has he accomplished?
