Why is year 5, after 0 SEC championship game appearances the first 4 years, a rebuilding team?

What are you rebuilding from?

Isnt a rebuilding year a down year. That's why he should of been fired last year or be given next year with that record

The only way we go 8-4 is if Butch Jones is fired in season. Even if that happened, we'll be lucky to win 7 IMO

You have 2 new qb, a good HB who has never carried the load of a starter and your most experienced reciever is hurt. The offense is going to suck with those odds

I guess the reason I don't feel bad for him is that he had ample opportunity to look at the program and learn from his mistakes and experiences. Instead he dug in and doubled down on the stubborn. Doubled down on the "my system is infallible" garbage and when you do that, you get what you deserve. Can't be too stubborn and arrogant to recognize when you need to change your approach or you will inevitably fail.

Why is this a rebuilding year? Correct me if I'm wrong but how many players are starting as freshman? We have Juniors and Seniors starting.


They're not developed .

This team is not going to beat Kentucky at home in a primetime game. Butch is going to be tight as hell.

They'd love more than anything to beat us. We don't give a damn and we shouldn't. Season is over.

I don't even care if we do go 8-4. The record is secondary (to me) to the way we have looked so poorly coached getting there. It's been ridiculous.

Not sure everybody saw the posts, but LWS said butch wants out as bad as we want him home. He won’t be here next year, regardless.

Ok, look at the last three games and, with a straight face, tell me you have confidence that Butch Jones is going to have the team playing like world beaters with the horrendous scheme he runs, with a first-time offensive coordinator who, throughout the first seven games of the year, has proved completely inept as a play caller, and with a string of personnel decisions that make you wonder if he's mildly retarded.

Go on. Tell me what the evidence suggests, Sherlock.

If we'd had a competent AD last year Jones would have been gone. He tried to get out last year. His heart was no longer in it. It was a recipe for what we saw unfold this year.

I agree he wants out but I think its because he doeant like the pressure. He knows he blew it last year and I think he would be brought back at 8-4 but he knows fans wont be on his side if that happens
