Unless he initiates and negotiates a resignation.

AD won't make move until he is ready.

If that is the case my family and wife’s family of 20 will not be attending the LSU game. We have a cabin in the mountains rented for that weekend and will go hiking instead to go to the game if Butch is still the coach.

Ok. Why do we need someone with a connection to the program? What were Saban’s connections to LSU or Bama? How about Urban and UF? What connection to OU did Bob Stoops have? How about Chris Petersen and UDUB? How about Pete Carroll and SC? I just want to Hire a good football coach. Who cares if he doesn’t have connections to UT.

I really don’t care where he is from. I just know that our VFL’s know the right way. Just don’t want another 2nd tier coach.

I have it dvr’d From two weeks ago. Gruden was the topic. Hyams said they offered him 6yrs 30mil in 2012. And that he was a pipe dream this go around. I’m not grasping at sh!t.

LWS said Gruden “doesn’t want to ruin any friendships,” which either means:

1) He doesn’t want Butch to hate him
Or
2) He is afraid of failing and everyone hating him

No way either one of these are true.

Then a poster asked him if Butch may be retained.

He responded by saying he wasn’t sure. How can you not be sure if they supposedly offered Gruden twice?

Something doesn’t add up.

I'm still catching up, but so far I think this is s great post.

Just curious..... Gruden asked for a certain salary for a job that he wasn't interested in taking because he doesn't want to coach football or he is afraid to fail at?

I was going to ask the same thing. Why are we offering the keys to the castle to someone who doesn't even want to coach in college?
