democrats want control of the oil

Yes I saw it and I know how giddy that makes all of you.

It doesn't make me giddy. It makes me angry, here we have a man calling for all Americans to do their part and sacrifice because of the desperate nature of our current climate. Meanwhile this man who has no idea what sacrifice is has all these energy guzzling homes and his wife rides around in a hot rod mustang.

according to a WSJ poll only 32% of democrats think nationalizing oil is a bad idea. 35% think it is a good idea. and democrats call the repubs stupid and uneducated. :whistling:

Have you forgotten the posts you've made about Republicans or your buddy W?

Maybe you just have an odd way of showing love...:)
I don't hate W, I despise him. Besides, if there's anyone who deserves public ridicule, it's George W. Bush.

I'd be willing to bet that Cheney has been the decision maker on more environmental friendly spending than Gore has even considered.
I'm sorry, but just because you shoot a man in the face instead of the quail, it doesn't mean you're eco-friendly.

people are losing houses because either a) they bought a house they couldn't afford or b) they lost their job and didn't have any savings. That's bush's fault?

i agree, but lets look at some numbers. what i meant to say was since we are over there lets just take it, but back to the numbers.

Military losses, 1980 through 2007

http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/natsec/RL32492.pdf

As tragic as the loss of any member of the US Armed Forces is, consider the following statistics: The annual fatalities of military members while actively serving in the armed forces from 1980 through 2006:
1980 .......... 2,392 (Carter Year)
1981 .......... 2,380 (Reagan Year)
1984 .......... 1,999 (Reagan Year)
1988 .......... 1,819 (Reagan Year)
1989 .......... 1,636 (George HW Year)
1990 .......... 1,508 (George HW Year)
1991 .......... 1,787 (George HW Year)
19 92 .......... 1,293 (George HW Year)
1993 .......... 1,213 (Clinton Year)
1994 .......... 1,075 (Clinton Year)
1995 .......... 2,465 ( Clinton Year)
1996 .......... 2,318 (Clinton Year)
1997 ............ 817 (Clinton Year)
1998 .......... 2,252 (Clinton Year)
1999 .......... 1,984 (Clinton Year)
2000 .......... 1,983 (Clinton Year)

Clinton years (1993-2000): 14,000 deaths

2004 .......... 1,887 (George W Year)
2005 ............. 919 (George W Year)
2006.............. 920 (George W Year)
2007...............899 (George W Year)
George W. Bush's Years (2001 - 2007): 8,831 Deaths

I haven't read through the rest of this thread to see if anyone else fact checked your post, but most of this is a complete and utter crock.

Also, how many of the deaths during the Clinton years were a result of hostile action?

by the way, the answer to my question is four, not that we were involved in ground fighting anywhere near as much during the Clinton years, but your numbers are faulty and misleading.

The problem I have with Al Gore and his Global warming crusade is why didn't he do something when he was in office. The guy was in an office for 8 years and now he comes out with his Global Warming crusade.

And to blame the Oil prices on Bush is totally unfair. Everyone who was President from when Nixon went to China to now shoulders equal blame.

did you check the link? if you would like I will post the numbers that come out of that pdf file

edit: judging by the time stamp on your post you probably didn't see my third post

You're saying it is misleading because the KIA part? The total deaths are not incorrect, you are in agreement on the total deaths?
