Just some andedotal information for reference

On the projects I worked on in industry I'd often be in meetings with senior managers and vice presidents for the client. I'd hear things that the masses weren't supposed to know or get wind of until the timing was right. For example, 2 of my capital projects, one at $325m and the other at $450 were going to be suspended in September of 2008 due to the financial crisis but we were still going to work up until Christmas because we had funding in place for fiscal year 2008. Nobody was supposed to know that we would be laying off hundreds of people on both projects. I am the worst person in the world for keeping secrets from my team although I don't just come out and tell them what I know. I figure out a way to let them know without actually telling them if you can understand that. I don't figure I'm unique in that practice. I actually have good relationships with the people who work on my projects and I almost feel like I'd be betraying them if I allowed them to be totally blindsided. Plus the information is filtering out from other departments and so pretty soon everybody knows or suspects and all I have to do is say things like based on what I'm hearing I would not be surprised if that's the way this plays out.

I realize this is a little bit different but my point is that people who know do talk and the more people that know the more cover they have for talking. No doubt we have trolls but if you believe that there was no effort in 2012 to get Gruden then everybody is a troll. If you believe there was an effort in 2012 then it's likely because of various well-known and credible sources suggesting or hinting at as much, including Gruden himself. In my opinion we have credible reporting already on the record this time but all we can know at the moment I think is that, No. 1, We're likely making an unofficial (boosters) effort right now, and No.2, Currie is likely more favorable to making a deal with Gruden than any of his predecesors. jmo.

If you do not believe No. 1 and No. 2 then you are likely a NegaGrude. jmo.

If you do believe No. 1 and No. 2 then you are likely a reasonable and realistic person with a very high intelligence capacity and are probably a lot of fun to be around. jmo.

The teams usually know anyway. They can just sense it. At least that's been my experience in large software projects.

Two questions.

I have never seen Matts post much but I assume his info is good since you all seem to think so?

What happened to the skeeter guy?

Was pissed that he was passed over for AD in favor of Currie. Sent some pretty poorly received tweets after that. Not sure if that relationship has been repaired.

Hyams was talking this afternoon about Sumlin and if he would be fired or not at the end of the year. He went on to say that he thinks 2 or 3 SEC coaches could be fired or possibly leave because they want out of the conference.

Thought that was interesting.

What I thought was interesting is that if the three coaches on the hotseat are fired, (Butch, Sumlin and Malzahn), then outside of Saban, the average tenure for SEC coaches would be 1.7 years.

I feel like malzahn and summon have been on the hot seat forever lol somehow they hang on especially malzahn he will win 11 then turn around only win like 5 the next year.

I want Gruden just for the sheer spectacle of it all.

Every Vols fan in the world will have a ****-eating grin from the day he's announced until the day he goes 7-5 in year one. And then he'll reel in a top 3 class and we'll be walking around like Smilin' Bob from the Enzyte commercials.

That 7-5 would include a UGA or UF win too.

That’s not why people hate Kress. It’s because he’s a rumor mungor. A cesspool of negativity that stirs up dissension in the fan base.

It’s not as if Butch would not be on his last legs without Kress. His constant flow of crap is unneeded.

It’s actually possible to criticize and discuss respectfully without destroying and scorching the earth

You're right. They do tend to belittle the "sheep" a lot who try to stay positive and don't buy into their negative crap.
