Lmao.

Some poor sap tried to bring “inside sources” to the Gruden thread and just got exposed hardcore and then admitted that he fabricated the evidence. This was a poster that DTO and Boro had basically endorsed.

What a trainwreck that thread is. I still can’t stop looking though lol

Honest opinion: Butch out by this Sunday, or are we still looking at Nov-Dec?

I think the situation is fluid. CBJ and Currie have met. UT has met with counsel. UT has been in contract negotiations with Sexton for some time. Very few people know what transpired in any of those meetings. Those involved are keeping quiet-- as they should.

IMO, most people expect the Bama outcome to be bad, so an ugly loss won't precipitate an immediate move. It would have to be a mutual financial arrangement.

So, you have officially joined the Vol Twitter mafia calling everyone who does not agree with Kress and Fox Sports Radio "sheep."

Careful reading would notice that I included myself in the sheep. Also, Ziti has "sheep" under his screen name and he is vocal about Kress.

Hyams was talking this afternoon about Sumlin and if he would be fired or not at the end of the year. He went on to say that he thinks 2 or 3 SEC coaches could be fired or possibly leave because they want out of the conference.

Thought that was interesting.

If I’m Butch Jones I know I have absolutely no chance to win the Tennessee Alabama game. So I going to that game and I am opening the offense full throttle, nothing held back, trick plays fake punts, bombs... whatever.

You know you’re going to lose, go down with your guns blazing, and who knows?

If he has to resign the next day, I would say “well… At least I gave you a show on the way out.”

Follow up question: how 100% sure are you that Gruden will definitely be UT's head coach next year? Are you super duper sure, or just like really, really sure?

From Swan Man on VQ...(very respected poster)

I like Butch..... did a lot of good from where we were....... in hearing same as everybody but very skeptical of motives ....... I did run into someone close and is a VERY VERY BIG FAN OF CURRIE ....... we don’t want Butch 2.0

I feel VERY GOOD WHERE WE ARE AND WHAT TN IS DOING.....

They didn't really endorse him. They shared what they knew privately. Definitely a blow to them though.

That’s not why people hate Kress. It’s because he’s a rumor mungor. A cesspool of negativity that stirs up dissension in the fan base.

It’s not as if Butch would not be on his last legs without Kress. His constant flow of crap is unneeded.

It’s actually possible to criticize and discuss respectfully without destroying and scorching the earth

He mentioned McElwain. Said he thought there was a higher chance he would leave before he was fired.
