look at it this way. UT has already tried the good up and coming coach twice and failed and now we want to try the coach who hasn't coached in 12 years route.

There ain't no way Gruden is coming out of the ESPN both / Got the Hooter's Deal Going /
Got the Corona Deal Going / Wife does not want him to go back to coaching.

But... (lol) I'll help keep this pipe dream thread alive.

So, From my sources...
It's a done deal that Gruden is coming and he has already signed Tee Marin to be the new Vols offensive coordinator.

Keep in mind how many said Trump had NO CHANCE in hell of ever becoming President.

Jim Bob will be the OC, not Tee.

Not too much. Some reporter earlier (forgot the name but apparently broke a lot of news of the Florida players' fraud) said that he heard we were gonna be spending a lot of money on our next coach. Someone asked how much and he responded with backing up brinks trucks amount or something to that effect. That's all I can remember from today

This to me could become a barrier. No inside info, but Gruden comes across as a guy who would want to finish his show this season while we need someone sooner to start recruiting.

ESPN would probably want him to finish out the season but if they can get another guy lined up for it then they might be okay with it. I don't think it's a big deal though. I think a bigger deal is canceling QB camp and all the endorsement deals he would have to drop. There's gotta be some cash in getting out of those contracts.

I agree. He has several endorsement deals that won't fly as an NCAA coach. Not only does he have to get out of them, he will need new ones to replace the income. I'm not saying he can't get them, just that it will look different and that stuff takes time.
