Get a grip man. You live in Southknox, and you won't even watch the games?

I drive four hours every Saturday the Vols are home to see them play and enjoy a weekend in Knoxville.

Sure it's disappointing, maddening, etc., but it's football man. There is nothing better than watching the boys run through the T from Neyland stadium. Even on a bad day, or a hot day, or on a day when Butch leads them out.

We wait, and talk, and dream all year for just a couple handfuls of Saturdays to get here. Don't wish them away.

Watch the young players, they are the future. Watch JG, watch Trey Smith, watch Ty Chandler and Quarte Sapp.

Following Vol football is still the most fun you can have with your pants on. Even during seasons like this that are painful.

I'm from South Knox...I live in SC

This only works of the new coach is not a currently active coach.

I disagree. No active coach, Frost, Mullen, Brohm, etc. is going to stay at the job he's at past the last regular season game because of the new recruiting calendar.

Is our last game Vanderbilt? My assumption is it'll leak out who the coach is during that week. And we'll get a formal announcement/press conference the Monday after.

I could see an announcement the day after the last game, but not a week before the regular schedule has played out. I just can't recall when a sitting coach was officially hired with games remaining on the schedule. I could be misremembering though, and I guess the early signing day could change that.

I’m preparing myself. We’re going to hire some scrub. We’re going to have to google his name. It’s the Tn way. They don’t care if we’re good at football

LOL, $1.5MIL they're gonna raise for him and his assistants. SO much for him leaving.

What's even way-more-LOL, imo, is that a big, former or soon-to-be-if-things-continue-this-way-out-of-the-top-10-program like Tennessee would even be considering going in and taking a coach from a school like UCF which is trying to build -- we should be getting coach from someone our own or larger size / with similar or larger resources as ours (competing with other big boys, not taking from those with less resources). We'll see.

JC knows what he has to do with this hire. He knows how bad it made Hamilton look and got it taste of it with Todd Raleigh being a disaster (Currie was the lead voice behind TR).

With that being said and given his big 12 ties I would be shocked if Bob stoops isn’t his first call followed by Patterson. I think Stoops is more likely than Patterson. I’ve said before I think Jimbo is a possibility bc of things I hear from a friend that works Ops at FSU.

JC will have to get turned down by 3-4 high profile guys before dropping down to even like a Mullen, which would still be a great hire imo.
