After carefully dissecting all of the tea leaves and interpreting all of the insider info here, on the FF, from VQ, 247 and Twitter, here is what I have concluded regarding our future (or current) coaching search:

It was real last time. Just didn't work out. Hopefully it does this time.

LWS has acknowledged that they're trying to get Gruden but he doesn't believe it'll happen. Because he doesn't believe anything good will ever happen to UT.

Missed that. So LWS says the effort is there he just doesn’t think it formulates?

If there has ever been anything in this program's history that has captivated and spread cheer throughout this fanbase, like Grumors, I'd like to hear it.

It's up there with beating Florida in '98 or Peyton SPANKING Bama 41-14, except it lasts for weeks and weeks and weeks...


...and then it kicks you in the nuts.

For the life of me, I can't understand why they don't tailor the offense more to Mariota's skillset. Exotic smashmouth sounds nice in theory and all, but Mariota could be tearing up the league if they didn't try to predicate so much of their passing game on play action.

Why make a QB who's strength is quick decision making and a fast release start off so many passing plays with his back to the defense?

Hyams said we offered him 6 years 30 million in 2012 so it’s not unreasonable to think that we would try to offer him again. Now whether he’s interested at all is a different story but if you’re John Currie you have to make him tell you absolutely no I’m not coming and he may very well do so but I would say 6 years 40/42 million with incentives is probably on the table since we get so much from SEC network etc and future anticipated earnings from ticket sales etc.

Yes. On VQ he basically said that they tried last time but the decision makers were afraid to lose control and wouldn't pull the trigger. He believes the same will happen this time.

One part of his post that really sticks out to me was that Gruden changed his mind after telling people he wasn't going to the game. He would have had to have had a genuine interest in watching that game. Tells me that he's at least interested. If he wasn't, somebody like him wouldn't be there. It's all very interesting.
