nothing on CBJ being gone and it is too early for any real action on a replacement. I still don't believe he is back next year but the last 24 hours there is some talk that Currie really would prefer not to have to do it this year. I think he would have a difficult time selling that line of thinking but that chatter has been out there..
Unless CBJ lays a loss on Bammer and wins out, if he is the coach next season I simply cannot watch another game.
I know...big loss...don't let the door hit ya....etc.
But seriously. This list? If this ISN'T a troll post, then the Tennessee program is in real, generational trouble.
You may not agree with what LWS is saying but it is the truth. Whoever is telling you that a coach is lined up or an agreement has been reached in principle is nonsense. There has not been a final decision made on CBJ and the notion that he has been informed yet is still coaching is a fantasy. An AD would not fire a coach then expect him to stay on the staff
whelp. Here's the truth.
Any assistant staff, like coordinators, are going to get a buy out until the end of the year by my understanding. So that''s 9 mill. for Jones plus his assistants + another 5 mill. plus what ever agency or third party you pay, plus incidentals. Then you have to pay another coach and assistants. The real cost of a new head coach is 60 mill or more. That is way cheaper then most, but may be more then Curry was expecting to pay. It's a thing where quiet and privacy are at a premium. Curry may be shopping around, but if you are really connected, you won't know about it yet. It's my Belief that the press knows something but doesn't or cant say yet.
LWS what on earth does Currie or anyone in the AD see right now that would make them want Butch back next year? My Lord most of the fans despise him,he is the laughingstock of all media right now! And our football team looks horrible, the worst it's ever been under him.
He's not fired yet but to think our AD is not ALWAYS talking with agents about potential coaches is crazy. Notice LWS said speaking directly with sitting coaches. He will be very comfortable with getting one of his guys and then you will see the interim coach. Change is coming.

what no robbie Caldwell? From a very reliable source in his 40's with the last name Bailey, the AD has started contacting coaches. He wouldn't give me any big names (hinted at some), but he gave me 4 smaller ones, some of whom have already been mentioned here. I give you, in no particular order:
1. Frank Wilson
2. Jason Candle
3. Neal Brown
4. Jedd Fisch
Obviously, as with any hearsay, take it with a large grain of salt.
