The sad part is of all the coaching thread rumors. This one seems like the one that would be accurate. I've been through this song and dance and we always end up with leftovers.

I at least knew who Frank Wilson was since he coached under Kiffin and I read an article about him finally getting a HC position at a Texas school. Don't want.

He's not fired yet but to think our AD is not ALWAYS talking with agents about potential coaches is crazy. Notice LWS said speaking directly with sitting coaches. He will be very comfortable with getting one of his guys and then you will see the interim coach. Change is coming.

Jason Candle is a damn fine coach FYI, I'm just not sure he is up to this much pressure.

LWS what on earth does Currie or anyone in the AD see right now that would make them want Butch back next year? My Lord most of the fans despise him,he is the laughingstock of all media right now! And our football team looks horrible,the worst it's ever been under him.

Maybe but it is far from a done deal and unless you are implying Chip Kelly then I am not sure who you are referring to. Gruden is not an option and in no way, shape, or form has Kelly reached an agreement with UT

What news are you referring in the paragraph above? LWSVOL is only talking about chatter he's heard. He's already said in other posts that he's not as close to the inner workings of UTAD anymore. In the end he's voicing an opinion. In this case, LWS believes Jones will not be back for 2018. I think the majority in this board agree with that opinion. The chatter about Currie preferring not to fire Jones is understandable, but this fan base will not tolerate Jones another season. I know I wouldn't.

This league is the closest thing to the NFL there is. It isn't the place to get training. You better get someone with a track record of

Being able to recruit players
Being able to develop players
Develop winning game plans
manage game and time situations
Handle the PR aspect.
