That's NFL not College....completely different animal.....but y'all keep on acting like it would be a seamless transition and he would win 11 games his first year. Lol...no...

Unless I missed something, I don't think anyone has predicted 11 wins in year one. It just gives you instant credibility, and recruiting will thrive immediately. It may take Frost a year or two to develop relationships.

It is very similar to the Rick Barnes hire. I wad on board because it gave the program instant credibility. But he started with a much worse roster. Recruiting hasn't been elite, but he is developing some studs at the college level.

Butch says Medley is out for an extended period of time with "an extended illness." I hope Medley has gotten to the hospital. An extended illness sounds serious. (Blue Font???)

He is sick. Tweeted this out before the game.

It looks like Malhzan’s situation could get uncomfortable at Auburn. Could you get behind Malhzan at UT over a Brohm or Frost?

Gruden record as a head coach 100-85.

Postseason record 5-4.

To add some lightheartedness to the Gruden-Bucs conversation, here's one of my most favorite sports quotes of all time.

The original coach of the Bucs was John McKay, Sr. During one his coach's shows during their heyday of losing every week, he was asked about the booing in the stands. His retort was something along the lines of "most fans don't know the difference between a football and a watermelon". The next week, he received about 50 watermelons delivered to the Bucs' offices. During his next show, he admitted he should have said "most fans don't know the difference between a football and a Corvette".

I knew Medley had been sick. I wasn't doubting that, just that Butch said he's out for an extended period of time. That sounded odd for a sickness and with Butch having a track record for not always being consistent in his reasons for players being out, I questioned it.

I would be completely chilled with the entire situation if I knew, for an absolute 100% fact that Butch Jones will not be our coach for the 2018 football season. I'd still have some reservations and curiosity about how the UTAD would handle the situation, but I could relax if I was positive that he won't be back. And, at this point, there is just nothing that gives me that kind of assurance...that's what has me uptight about the situation.

Man, I'm going to get a jolt of enthusiasm as soon as they let him go. I haven't been to Neyland in 2 and a half years and it's killing me. Give me Interim Coach Hoke vs. LSU and let's get rowdy.

the silence from Currie is really strange at this point.

Agree with all of this. I will say JG manned up in the post game press conference and took blame, even on the last throw.

He protected his teammate unlike his teammate's suppose uncle. Greesey or whatever, just quit posting things that reflect badly on BJ. He's a good kid and I saw his body language after the miss that was in front of me with Callaway coming over and putting his arm around him like a good teammate. I do believe BJ was devastated and today would tell you he should've caught it and is still mad he did not. He did not lose the game with that one play nor did JG. We lost due to many things and we win and lose as a team regardless of who the QB is. BJ will do great things and I hope he has not forgot it and moved on just like a pitcher who gives up a homer. Will still cheer for him and the Vols and glad he is a VFL. It would have been a great catch but now just go out and get the next one.
