Probably after, due to the nature of what it is. It is the result of a private conversation, and personal relationship....only 4 people were witness to what was said. It would immediately be obvious where it came from, and who put it on the internet.

I wasn't going to even bring it up, but DTO was taking so much heat for his statement, I felt like I had to mention it was mine.

I have heard there are "rumblings" coming out of Knoxville this morning, though everyone is keeping it pretty close to vest. My sources think something could happen soon and Grudens name did come up. They didn't know if that would happen however, but they do conversations have taken place. Also Purdue is working on locking Jeff Brohm up.
Before you throw me into the eternal flame pit, I will give my sources names to either Freak or Jake (if Jake is who I think he is). Also this information is not coming from inside UT but 2 other Power Five schools.

We know things change at any moment but where were you percentage wise on our chances of getting Gruden before you heard what you heard and what did that percentage become after you heard what you heard?

I know information is coming out by a trickle but should we as fans be encouraged that things are moving in right direction. I do feel like something is happening behind the scenes and that’s why we are not getting the info leaks why we have in past. I hope Gruden is at least considering. Someone said they thought it was less than 10% that he would come. I hope that percentage is higher

Yeah back to back ten win seasons, a NY6 bowl appearance, consecutive top five recruiting classes. One of the top coaching staffs in the country. Hopefully we avoid someone like that.

Ok so I’m a VN newer member but I also like to think I have some common sense...so riddle me this Batman...every one knows he is gone sometime this year ...media, players, recruits, and I’m sure butch himself..so if your top two targets...Gruden and Kelly..are available right now (even though they would not start coaching immediately) ...why not go ahead and cut him loose? It CANNOT hurt anything more than it hurts with him staying...let the interim coach do his thing...fans happy...I’m sure players would have a little more spark then now..and get a early start on the early signing period. Announce the coach when he is signed. AD surley knows that 98 percent of the disgruntled fans are not because we don’t have a big name coach but because our coach is still named butch.

I've never, not once, predicted Gruden. All my original information, dating from Georgia weekend, was simply that Butch is gone, and that the replacement would be a big time hire...no more project coaches. All of the obstacles to that happening were eliminated. All Grumor-fun aside I've taken a very wait-and-see approach.

Since then I've heard whispers from people that don't normally speak of such things about interest from the one we want.

What I was told yesterday was from a very personal connection to the party in question. It coincided with some other things going around, and has pegged my meter at this point.
