I tried Osmosis a lot at UT by placing my textbook under the pillow hoping to impart knowledge before an exam the next day. It never worked.

I may try again tonight by placing my phone under my pillow hoping I learn Gruden is officially the Vols coach.

DTO said his news didn't have anything to do with WHEN an announcement will be made. Before he said that you jumped the gun and made it seem like you had just heard what DTO had heard and you said Butch will be fired tomorrow. Then DTO said his news had nothing to do with WHEN it will happen. It's over for you tomorrow.

They seem to overlook that he hasn't coached at all in 10 years. Has never coached on the collegiate level. Was only a better than average NFL head coach and has a career record of (95-81) and a post season record of (5-4).

If you took that record (95-81) (5-4) without any name attached to it there is no way anyone would seriously consider/want them to be the next coach of the Vols.

His name alone would bring recruits and coaches to his door. He has built a legend with himself.

Are you dumb? If Jimmy Hyams comes out tomorrow and breaks the news that Butch Jones has been fired, every reporter in the country will flock their sources in Knoxville. Multiple people would confirm the news in a matter of minutes and Tennessee would have no choice but to make it official.

Hyams isn't going to break anything without permission from the University. He wants to keep his access.

95-81 is actually really good in the NFL, especially considering he never had a Manning/Brady type QB. The rest of your point is valid though. Even if somehow he did come, it would be a big risk.
