i think this is a good post. Everything i was told in the last two days hinged on the fact that currie would not make a move early if he didn't have a replacement in place.

And if it is this early... I would honestly, as much as i don't want my hopes to skyrocket, think that if butch is fired tomorrow then i would have to think that there is a deal in place with jon gruden.

Complete guess, but i am just trying to piece things together based on what i have been told.

No way i sleep tonight.

i like it. But i’m going to bed with the belief that butch is fired and that we’ve hired some no name from some junior college hayseed coach who’s got a 52% all time winning percentage and is the best option that 1.8 million/year can buy. Lol. Good night fellas.

😂😂😂

Reggie was the running back i believe. I haven't seen him in years.

Yep, he was pretty dang good for his size. Good guy also, I had many classes with him. I’ve not seen him in years. I rarely get to see many when I visit.

The buyout is a big deal for all involved. It's obviously important to Butch. It's important to the UT side because we got some serious penny Pinchers back there, despite our excellent financial condition right now. And if there is any way that some sort of negotiated deal can be worked with Butch on the amount of the buyout, it that will really soothe some people behind the scenes who could make the next hire more difficult if they wanted to.

If we do end up hiring Gruden then in my opinion it won't end well.

Everyone who wants the guy can't give a legitimate football reason to hire him. It's always he is a VFL!, He is married to a former Vol Cheerleader!, He has property here!

They seem to overlook that he hasn't coached at all in 10 years. Has never coached on the collegiate level. Was only a better than average NFL head coach and has a career record of (95-81) and a post season record of (5-4).

If you took that record (95-81) (5-4) without any name attached to it there is no way anyone would seriously consider/want them to be the next coach of the Vols.
