He doesn't deserve to coach against Kentucky

Respectfully disagree. Unless a scandal or equivalent comes up you give him until Kentucky IMO. The man has represented and given his all for this program. No benefit of firing him next week. There isn’t a sole around including Butch IMO that doesn’t know he won’t be here next year.

Here is my theory on when/If Currie pulls trigger during season. Kentucky is a must win, lose to Kentucky and Butch is terminated Sunday giving Hoke 4 games to win 3 and get bowl eligible. My guess is the cerebral decision has already been made after Georgia and behind scenes and Kentucky week makes 5 weeks to come up a narrow list of interested/qualifying candidates.

Beat Kentucky and he waits until season end.

We are whiffing in all these "must win" games.

What’s your definition of “stud” coach? My definition is vastly different then a number of posters... Gruden, C. Kelly, Patterson, Peterson are “stud”. Beyond that then, no thanks!

And he has been compensated accordingly, per his contract. At this point there is still a pretty compelling benefit to making a bowl, and based upon our recent games, I don't see a path to 6 wins under Butch.

we are breaking records in a bad way right now -- Like the Georgia Beatdown, and possibly the one at Alabama next week. Right now, I'm not sure that we don't lose eight games this year, which would be another low point. Does Butch want to go away with that kind of blemish? Maybe a high school team would hire him.

You're totally missing my point. You obviously know the landscape around college football, many don't. I think the list would be a little longer. Many of these folks won't be happy with another rising unknown coach.

I'm not saying I disagree with you. That's why I said the number SHOULD be under 10, as in the casual fan doesn't know enough about most coaches to make an inform opinion without research.

That said, I'd learn to accept anyone they hire except Kiffin or Petrino.
