Since when did Kentuckys defense become elite or even average for that matter? If an interim is coaching, there will be some new life for these players. Also, the coordinators will have the handcuffs taken off and can probably do some things they havent been able to do with Butch in control.
I know the offensive line wasnt good at times yesterday, but there were plenty of times that they gave JG tons of time to throw, and he couldnt get rid of the ball. Of course, a lot of that is because the wide receivers are not getting open. It is certainly hard to blame them that we cannot run the ball in the second half, when South Carolina was stacking the box and run blitzing frequently. The other thing that I noticed in the second half is JG did not keep the ball on the read option any. There were a few times that he had open area to run.
