Doug Mathews is keeping it pretty real. Is openly talking about what happens when all the smoke clears about this coaching staff. Also still being very critical of Butch starting Jumper over Bituli and how this staff fails to get talent on the field and developed.

Did Larry really say a move probably won't be made until at least Halloween? If they don't fire him after the Bama game next week it's absolutely ridiculous.

Here's the thing: there's no longer the worry that Butch is going to turn this thing around and rally the team. While we all assumed it was so, the South Carolina loss seals the deal. I would rather they fire him this morning because I think there are some advantages - but in reality it doesn't matter that much. He's gone. They're not going to beat Alabama or Kentucky.

Jumpers dad must be one of the boosters who calls Butch after each game.

Maybe so, time will tell. Just wish he was quicker/faster on his feet. He's not as fast as many on here thought.

JG has to have more a feel for the pocket simply because of this. I was supportive of butch starting QD basically all year but now heinsite we should’ve just rode JG out and seen if he improved.

We can beat Kentucky with someone else besides Butch on the sideline leading the charge.

He really did look like he has better potential. Wasn't all world, but I saw a lot of things that make me think he'll be an above average qb once the growing pains are over and the OL improves.

He brought another mlb that was from middle Tennessee that aTm took the same year as bituli. He’s starting, has over 20 tackles in the last two games meanwhile, Jumper has one more tackle yesterday than Brandon Johnson did playing special teams.

Also said it’s not fair to start JG at this point. He said he should’ve been playing from the start.

Why Is it not fair to start him? He can’t red shirt again and at least he is gaining valuable experience and has the chance to basically start a season fresh with an interim and get some extra bowl practices as the starter.

So? Would they still make him tape it this morning if he was leaving the program later today?

I was talking about after the game on Saturday. We started hearing people late last night talking about the possibility of him leaving today.

Edit: saw your edit 😂

I don't know. We can't score. I don't think the offensive line issues fix themselves this year.

Since when did Kentucky’s defense become elite or even average for that matter? If an interim is coaching, there will be some new life for these players. Also, the coordinators will have the handcuffs taken off and can probably do some things they haven’t been able to do with Butch in control.

I know the offensive line wasn’t good at times yesterday, but there were plenty of times that they gave JG tons of time to throw, and he couldn’t get rid of the ball. Of course, a lot of that is because the wide receivers are not getting open. It is certainly hard to blame them that we cannot run the ball in the second half, when South Carolina was stacking the box and run blitzing frequently. The other thing that I noticed in the second half is JG did not keep the ball on the read option any. There were a few times that he had open area to run.

The thing that still kills me about Jones is his blatant refusal to adjust the game plan. These coordinators have to know they gotta change the scheme when something doesn't work! It doesn't make a lick of sense!

He meant with playing several tough sec games, starting him at this point isn’t really fair to him. He meant it more as if they knew there was a possibility of playing him cause he fits whatever scheme we’re trying to run on offense better, that he should’ve been playing more in games and getting more reps with the starters.
