Chip Kelly is a terrible way for UT to spend lots of millions. Forget it. Get it out of your head. It would be worse than Kiffin by the time he's run out of town. We'd be so far in the hole $$$$$$ it would take another 10 years to recover.

Also you know Chip Kelly would come back with something to prove, after being fired twice. The NFL is not his game. His offense was nuts in college football.

Our fanbase wants the Vols to be relevant again. We want other programs and the media to respect us. Hiring Gruden would be perceived as the ultimate homerun and it’s fun to think about him winning all the press conferences, which is actually important in Knoxville

Not his game but he did win the division twice and completely turn the Eagles offense around in his first year. He’d kill it in Knoxville

yes i agree . i just don't see how anyone considers a guy that's only been an OC for less than two years as a great HC and a homerun hire. He hasnt even proved he is a great OC yet.

Be careful here. If not for Derrick Dooley, there would be no Butch Jones. A bad hire will keep us in the wilderness for another 5 years. I sure hope we don't keep screwing up. There is baggage on most of these guys. Let's just hope the AD is competent in this hire and doesn't knee jerk.

If Tennessee was serious, and decided to pull a Bama..........and unload the golden brick truck......they could get most of those guys.......prob Gruden included........if they wanted.



Everyone says guys like Shaw, Patterson, Peterson, ECT would not come........but if you paid them top 3, top 2, or top money and gave them the freedom and $ to hire whatever staff they wanted.......most of them would come.
