You’re dramatic. No lives were lost. :lol: I back my coach until I’m convinced he can’t do the job. Prolly what happened with us...honestly don’t remember you. And no, I didn’t “follow” him TO Tennessee (already here) and I’m not following him out. Stay goofy bruddah! :thumbsup:

Aside from winning football games which is at the top of the list for a college football coach, he has been above average in almost all other aspects and and for that I'm grateful to him, but, his coaching has led us to this point, and we at this point are where we were for the last 10 years.

When you manage to do something that not even one of the worst college coaches of all time couldnt do at Tennessee, you are a pathetic excuse for a coach.

Substantially better record than Dooley=better coach. Simpler when you take the emotions out of it. :)

I want the next hire to be great too but I'm not going to get sucked in to this crap again. And in not going to give Credence to revisionist history that says Butch did nothing but fail for his entire tenure.

BTW - if Butch had fired Scott, who do you recommend calls the plays for the rest of the season?

We're on the same page. I would expect Butch to call the plays as it is his offense.

So back to Mays...he could have withdrew his commitment (and still can) this past weekend but did NOT. Heard some prominent UT alumni got to talk him back. He will still be visiting Clemson and others soon.

Clemson thinks he has already flipped. They are VERY confident. They need to lose a couple games but no one in the ACC is good enough to do it. Maybe ND?

I’d say if they think he flipped, then he probably did. His whole “Grud” comment wreaks if someone mocking our fan base. It’s one thing to want to go to another program, but it’s another to go out of the way to be a jerk to a program as well.

Dooley wasn't even competent enough to put a punt returner back to receive a fair catch. How can you have a team full of football players and yet are unable to find even one guy to catch a ball?

Another example. I think it was against UAB his first year. We were up by 8 in the middle of the 4th. UAB scores, and he's the only person in the stadium that apparently doesn't realize the other team will go for 2. He has to take a TO to put his defense back out.

There are many more, such as the LSU debacle. Dooley wasn't head coach material, and the writing was on the wall early. CBJ has done great things for our program. He's deserved our support until he took a step back IMO. Maybe he's plateaued, but for whatever reason, he isn't the guy going forward. To compare him to Dooley is foolish though.

I don't think they'll survive GT and NCSt. in back to back weeks. One of those 2 will beat'em. I think they have to go to Raleigh and play.

Cosby Cattleman was on Bill King Show this morning claiming at CM scrubbed his Twitter of all UTK stuff. I don't have a Twitter account and wouldn't cyber stalk prospects even if I did but the report didn't seem good. Bill King did say afterward that he believes CM winds up a Vol no matter what.
