'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Really? So in 3 years at UF, Muschamp was 22-16 with a 13-11 conference record. JM is 22-10 currently, with a 16-4 conference record. Plus, JM holds a win over WM. You fail.

Not real sure you should be accusing others of failing. Your initial statement about how awesome Clemson's coach hiring tendencies are is in conflict with the facts.

If Mays really cares about Jones and family, he should stay solidly committed, because this recruiting class is pretty much all Jones has going for him at the moment.

Barring any fake tweets, most of this class is solid in their committment. 2-3 want to take other visits and publicly stated they are re-opening their recruitment and most people fail to realize that other teams and their boosters are gonna present the most negative view they can of UT in an attempt to lure prospects away. Cade was very vocal in helping get recruits to UT.I just can't see a complete 180 change of mind regarding him. It's either not true or there's more to it than we realize.

This class will fall completely apart if CBJ keeps getting out coached and not scoring points. I think SC will beat us and Alabama will do us worse than UGA did. That's 2 potential shut outs. Once the coach is fired following these 2 games this class will get picked apart by the masses. Mays, Harris, Horn, and the Rb from Ga will all get interest from Clemson, SC, UGA, etc. Don't believe the hype of they're solid because that's social media damage control by UT.

Gloom, despair, and agony on me, deep dark depression, excessive misery . . . if it weren’t for bad luck, we’d have no luck at all . . .

When we hire the right coach some of those guys will end up on the outside looking in.

I hope so I swear I do. I hate seeing the kids after the games when they've given everything they had only to be defeated in games they were favored and should've won, but coaching failed to call plays to get 1 first down or playing cover 6 on the last play of the game.

Not a pathetic excuse of a coach......his record here says he is below average to mediocre at best. So, yes maybe not a pathetic excuse of a coach, but, definitely an under achieving average joe to be kind.

Aside from winning football games which is at the top of the list for a college football coach, he has been above average in almost all other aspects and and for that I'm grateful to him, but, his coaching has led us to this point, and we at this point are where we were for the last 10 years.

You mean looking for Gruden while our fan base turns cannibal? I'm not sure that ALL of this is Butch's fault.

One has nothing to do with the other, other than Butch's inability has led to the fan base turning cannibal.

Sometimes it's not a matter of everything being one's fault, there are other circumstances and situations which compound the faults and ultimately highlight the one with most fault.

Butch is the man in charge, and with that comes the ultimate responsibility right, wrong, or indifferent. He has made the bed, and regardless of what other circumstances or situations or people, it is ultimately his bed and he is responsible for it.

Case in point, I would think that after the press conference Saturday and explaining how that was the worst offensive performance he had ever seen or been a part of, and knowing that he is treading water, and having seen the first few weeks of lack luster offense he does nothing to change it, he doesn't take the lead and put his career on his back, he just says the bed is unmade and he will do more to make sure it is made, rather than just making the bed himself. He should have fired the OC, period, especially after his statement and if he is that unaware of the very thin ice he was/is skating on then again no one to blame but himself.

I didn't disagree with the sentiment that Butch mishandles things both during games and then after. And he has just gotten worse. He has become completely tone deaf it seems. I think his time here is coming to a close and it should be.

But I'm talking about something different and that is the desire of the fans in orange to burn down the good will of an entire operation and project willful fantasy into what is an already confusing situation. I want the next hire to be great too but I'm not going to get sucked in to this crap again. And in not going to give Credence to revisionist history that says Butch did nothing but fail for his entire tenure.

BTW - if Butch had fired Scott, who do you recommend calls the plays for the rest of the season?
