Lot of Gonzaga momentum tonight for 2018 3-Star PF Filip Petrusev, who OVd at Tennessee this weekend 247sports.com/player/filip-p
Well,****.
Hmmm
So Rob Lewis talks to the kid who names Vols his clear cut leader, says he may visit Utah, Virginia and/or Maryland and then 30 minutes later we hear Gonzaga has a lot of momentum? Interesting.
Kid seems to be all over the place.
Unless Vandy pulled the offer I don't get why he didn't visit them.
3 CBs, not 4. 2 from Duke guys, and 1 from tOSU guy. None of which have likely spoken to him. I'd be surprised if there is anything to this.
Right now, after my visit, Tennessee is my leader, he said. I still may take some other visits though, Im not sure right now. Im going to go back and think about everything, talk with my family and by Wednesday will probably decide if Im ready to make a decision or if I want to see a few other schools.

Well,****.
Tommy Lloyd (GU Associate Head Coach and the man responsible for International recruiting) has long maintained that the general public knows about 5 percent of whats really going on vis a vis recruiting.
One thing I DO know is they probably arent strangers as Gonzaga is actively recruiting one of Peyrosevs teammates.
I put a lot of weight into that. I am just betting he has told he has this week to pull the trigger or we move on to the next guy.
His comments sound that way to me
Could be. Too early to tell. Nembhard will visit GU this weekend for Kraziness in the Kennel (the debut of the 17/18 Zags).
FWIW Gonzaga has a pretty good track record of its recent Canadian graduates going to the NBA. (Okynyk, Wiltjer, Sacre not so recent)
Gotcha, seems like I had read somewhere Gators were the overwhelming favorite for him, maybe not.
I was thinking I had read an article with quotes from the kid but I could be mistaken...yes, Tennessee needs to find a way to land Petrusev, losing him would hurt. They are the perceived favorite, but like Zags said, the public doesn't really know a lot of what goes on. Gonzaga has a nice track record with international players, so I'd say that they have to be an attractive option, as well as their annual success.
I still hope Petrusev picks Tennessee. He is extremely versatile and gives us another tall player that can play multiple positions.
