The QBs tweet was all part of an elaborate plan by Butch to take the attention off the fact he's firmly on the hot seat. Don't get distracted! Butch is toast! Back to the coaching search! Lol

If you follow some of them off the field, you will know a lot of them are putting their money where their mouth is. "You" see it as stomping on their country while other people see the flag as being racially profiled, descriminated against, systematic oppression. So "other people" see it as they have been "stepped on" their whole lives due to their skin color and economic status.

Did men die under this flag in the war which actually gave individuals who were slaves their initial freedom? I understand wanting to make a statement to bring attention to a cause such as racial inequality which still exist. Just don't understand how this flag under which men fought and died to help free them is now such an offensive symbol.

The problem with the kneeling and protests is what they are protesting is a liar served up by SJW's and race baiters including the media. It just isn't true that police are out there gunning down innocent black people. It just isn't. The statistics prove this unequivocally. So they are protesting nothing. My 2 cents and that's all I'm going to comment on it.

There has been plenty of video evidence (just in the past 365 days) to refute this comment.

Now that we see through the diversion can we now say Butch is... Texas... Toast?

What about them kneeling and bringing awareness for the people who didn't have the possibility to make plenty of money because of their skin color? The protest isn't about them (athletes). Its about people who and sound like them that didn't have an equal or fair chance of prospering in this country.

Do it on your own time on your property. Let them do it on their stage, not the one I and other fans pay for. I don't give a shat what their political beliefs are.

If it's such a great cause why don't they rent a stadium and charge admission so they can have their crap on America funfest? I'm sure it would be well attended.

Just to show you all boosters have different opinions I just talked with a pretty high up one and he is 100% behind Jones at 8-4 and expects us to make it to that. At 7-5 he is on the fense but if we make a move he wants James Franklin. Mentioned he would up his giving and support offering 7mil.

Alejandro Villanueva for Steelers is active duty in the military. While the Steelers stayed in the locker room he came out for the anthem. His jersey sales have sky rocketed today

I like most of what you say but here is the rub with the protest.
Do they make it better or worse?

Imo they make it worse because it makes more People less willing to work toward having an open mind toward the issues we face.

I damn sure would be willing to stand beside my African America friends in making sure injustice doesn't happen but I am much less likely to stand with them in this way.

This take is pretty close to mine. There are definitely serious issues regarding race in this country that need to be addressed, and I commend NFL players for using their visibility to promote important causes, but bringing in the flag and the anthem just isn't going to do anything productive. Lots of people are taking about it, but it alienates a lot of the same people they're trying to reach.

I think it's more about the injustice. How many of those cops that have killed someone end up in jail?

How many of them are guilty? Again, that's the problem. SJW's and race baiters react to what they see and hear from a biased media with an agenda without knowing the facts. People like Shaun King go off on twitter when he has no idea what actually happened. But then jury's, approved upon by both attorneys, see all of the evidence and make a ruling. That is fair and balanced legal system at work. They have seen and reviewed all of the evidence unlike those reacting on social media and protesting. Then, when facts come out, people still protest things that are proven lies like "Hands up don't shoot" and others. When injustice really happens it is terrible, but how often is that the case? I lied and said I wouldn't comment. That's the problem with this topic. You can't comment against the protests or protesters without being accused of being a racist. That is the danger of it.

Besides, we have work to do finding our next foosball coach.

Yep. Not gonna run his name through the wringer (no idea if I spelled this right lol) here but just know that many, many current Vols probably disagree with your opinions in one way or another.

That’s the beauty of America, we don’t always have to agree on stuff. Have your own opinions but listen to people who have different opinions instead of just shouting them down. They might come from a different background and have had a different experience than you. You might even learn something. I know I have in the past.

Yea, I learned my lesson, I should have never posted that McBride tweet😂

Would be a huge hire, but no way PSU would let him get away. Plus isn't he a Pennsylvania guy? Seems like a really unrealistic opinion.
