So which is it? He cant win bc theyre in the SEC West? Or bc he cant recruit?
Its much easier to recruit to Georgia over Miss. state.
Hell after todays debacle, the fact that Mullen develops The talent he gets should be enough to hire him.
Once again, theres a reason why Starkville is never a destination recruiting target over Athens, Gainesville, T-loosa, Auburn, Baton Rouge, Knoxville, and College Station.
Give him two top 10 classes and two top 15 classes and hes 10 wins better than what we have now. He will never get those type of classes at MSU because its never been done. Even in the best 9-10 year run in program history.
Also... after a 5-7 season Butch pulled a top 10 recruiting class.
After a 10-2, program defining season, Mullen couldnt crack the top 30.
Whos that on?
Well, I give you credit for sticking to your guns. Hes had every opportunity to recruit well to Starksville.
Im not gonna change my mind on the guy because hes getting boat raced by UGA.
UGA has 2 plays that resulted in Touchdowns because the same Safety fell asleep.
Id still take him in a heartbeat because his offense with Todd Granthams defense with 4/5 stars would be deadly here. Hell Granthams DC days at Georgia speaks for itself. When the guy has talent on defense, hes deadly. Same thing for Mullens offense.
Agree to disagree. Give a guy better talent and weaker competition and he will improve. Thats common sense.
It will be interesting to bump this thread after we have losses to both GA and LSU.
Hes not a good recruiter, so theres nothing to suggest hed have better talent. Dont pull the UT sells itself either because the Dooley years taught us, that simply isnt true anymore.
And hows it weaker competition if hed be playing the same east team thats steam rolling him now?
