Students supposedly planning a walk out this Saturday for the game in protests of Jones. Makes me chuckle because there was probably never going to be more than 5000 students there anyway. lol

Need to do it against Georgia not against UMass where it will be noticed more

There are countless reasons other than chance that could be contributing to injuries. Every other team is playing f-o-o-t-b-a-l-l without so many season ending injuries the last couple years. I'm not blaming anyone right now, but saying all injuries are always the result of pure chance is poor logic.

I am sure there are some contributing factors, but we also don't closely follow other teams. As I stated before the Memphis/UCLA game, Memphis had only played one game, and they had 3 starters/contributors out for the year on defense and 1 on offense. That's after one game.

The wrist injuries to JJ and McDowell are not from S&C.

I wonder if Butch would've taken this job back in 2012 if he knew how crazy our fan base/expectations are. Not to say they aren't warranted, but I think if he could see the amount of stress and pressure he would have 5 years later, he may have held out for a position elsewhere with lower expectations.

Butch's biggest problem is how much he lets that affect him.

It reflects in the players. If he could ever become fast and loose, this would be a championship team.

But Saban's coaching drain on the SEC will ultimately make it a desirable conference again. He only has so many years left and then Bama will be a much more manageable opponent. In the meantime, the coaching quality in the SEC is back to mid-90s level, perhaps worse. At least back then there were two dominant guys in Spurrier and Fulmer with Stallings in the twilight of his career. Now there's just one.

The problem is, I think Dabo will probably replace Saban when he does retire. If the NCAA will not do anything to Bama for cheating, Dabo will recruit lights out there, and he has proven to be a pretty good coach, after he got out of this own way. Bama may not drop much for years to come, if the NCAA doesn't come snooping around.

Only 3 Dormady interceptions from not having to overcome a double digit 4th quarter lead.

He easily could've had two more. Palmer broke up one early. The dropped interception two plays prior to Dawson's pick should've been a pick 6 by Gardner.

He threw it right to him with 100 yards of grass in front. What do we do? Pass it some more!

Do we really play that aggressively?

Aggressive?!?!

Yeah, I know. The point wasn't to suggest that they are overly so, just that Butch's flavor of being so (or not) might have an impact on injury pre-disposition. For example, he really likes his Circle of Life...are there other such things?

I'm an engineer. I solve things by asking questions and making observations. If we are continuing to suffer injury at a significantly higher than average rate, you have to start looking for structural reasons. Obvious suspects are nutrition and S&C, but if not that, then what? The curse?

Normally by Tuesday afternoon after a loss I'm back to pumping sunshine. But instead I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

My shot in the dark guess is not enough physical 11 on 11 practice time and sitting kids out of practice after every little bump and bruise.

I do wonder if Butch "overcorrected" after a few bad injuries in 2015 and tried to let guys recover during spring and fall camp more than he should have.

Facing the reality of another potential coaching change after clawing back from sucktitude saps the mojo right out of you huh?

Yes, let's disrespect the team we (allegedly) bleed orange for just to show that we're butthurt at the coach. While I'm at it, this dog bit me! I think I'll kill its entire litter.

Good grief.

I think Dabo is the coach there eventually, but I think Saban will have a hand in picking his successor, and he will probably lobby for one of his guys. I think Dabo will be the proverbial guy who follows the guy who follows THE guy.
