TBH I dont think the injuries are going to stop. It's been steady going for 2 seasons.

This team is not very physical. Can't remember the last time we dominated on defense. I can't remember the last time we laid someone out....maybe jennings on spteams 2 years ago? They are playing not to get injured .....which causes injuries. Just my opinion.

Students supposedly planning a walk out this Saturday for the game in protests of Jones. Makes me chuckle because there was probably never going to be more than 5000 students there anyway. lol

Please no. It does absolutely nothing but bring negative publicity to the program.

Mean tweets... "Fire Butch" on the rock... student walkouts... donors sending voided checks. Soon there'll be a petition, if there's not one already. A lot of pissed off people feel they aren't being heard.

Guess apathy hasn't set in yet, after all.

But does the AD even hear any of it

Anyone have an idea of how many seats in Neyland are season ticket holders? They've already got that money...can't use that as a voice until next year.

I hate the generation that is 18-24 years old right now.

White privilege, triggers, micro-aggressions, everything is hate, speech-is-only-free-if-I-agree-with-it, etc. Yeah. Wonder how much the folks who recently lost a loved one or their home, care about youngsters being offended over a lost football game, or the fact that a white/black/asian/latino guy looked at them in a scary way?

I wonder if Butch's style of aggressive football pre-disposes players to injury. Not suggesting that it is any more aggressive than others, just taught in a different way. There are certainly tackling techniques that can cause the tackler to sustain injuries, maybe that has a broader application to how they train players to move or attack.

So dumb, the players will notice this more than the coaching staff. Didn't CBJ say EFF YALL to the fans last year?

Do we really play that aggressively?

Aggressive?!?!

I am personally tired of hiring these "offensive" minded coaches. If you look at the ones who are consistently top 10 most take a defensive minded approach or background and they excel in recruiting. If the time comes I like Venables and or Wilcox maybe Arranda. I think if you can make your defense the key while hiring a great offensive staff chances will have a better team.

Too many times we have tried Kiffen, Dooley, Butch that have backgrounds in offense and what you find out is defense wins championships.

I think almost every top coach is an O guy.

I don't get the extend him or fire him position. He's got three more seasons after this one on his current deal. Doesn't seem that pressing to me. If he walks because he wants an extension, fine, we don't have to pay a buyout. It doesn't look great for an AD to fire a guy after 3 straight seasons of 8+ wins even given the context and fair frustration on our part. I can see plenty of circumstances where we keep him for another year.
