We dont need a DC who has nevef been a HC as our next HC. If you want to throw tye bank at him to be our next DC, then fine by me. But not the HC.

JG hasn't played a game of football in how long? But yet he's not ready he looked like a freshman in his first attempt, give ma break so did every other QB that's been here. This staff has ruined so many kids it's not even funny, if any of these kids leave I don't blame them one bit, Butch has no clue!

Our starter is in his jr yr and has no idea how to check off to the next receiver, you can tell by the throwing into double and triple coverage. If the play call is any route(you choose) to MC whether he's open or not he's throwing it to him regardless, JG can be the same puppet QD is for this crappy scheme

If JG doesn't ditch the attitude and decide to engage he'll never see the field. Sitting on the bench behind the third stringers and not even watching the game is ridiculous.... on his part.... on Canales part..... on Scott's part and on Butch's.

I just don't see any "real" play action type of plays from our offense. A fake dive to Kelly followed by lob to corner type of pass to tall receiver, (George,MC), would have been great call because we went to Kelly close to goal already this year. Heard Danielson say play action referring to UT but dang if I saw it. Play action is designed to freeze line backers while setting up pass routes and screens to TE and many plays. PM used to put strong emphasis on carrying out fakes. Just wondering why CBJ & CLS don't use it.

Butch jones is making the same mistakes now that he did in year 1, I've seen 0 improvement from him coaching wise.. Most of it can be accounted to him being stubborn and unwilling to modify his ''infallible'' system to fit the weapons he has out on the field.

what do they have to gain by trying to get in our heads? I think majority of the fans would find it refreshing to hear butch getting the boot in a few weeks. Youth is not an excuse in year 5 give me a break. He has botched games year AFTER year

Inexperienced receivers making him throw off his back foot? Stare down one guy? Throw into coverage? Wolfe has been here how long? Josh Smith? Byrd (oh wait, he was the blocking WR for this game)?

I'm really not blaming any of this on QD. He has skills that haven't been developed and aren't being used correctly. But to say that JG looked bad in his first outing and he therefore can't get better is BS.

This being said, let the kid start against UMASS and let him play at least the first 3 series. If he's doing good let him keep getting reps. You can't redshirt him any more, if he doesn't get a chance, he's not gaining experience then he's as good as gone.

What's that gonna prove....doing good things against 0-4 UMass ? Throw him in the 1st-3rd series against UGA and he'll run and hide under or behind the bench. QD likely is gonna have a hard time against Dawgs. OL needs to stay in that weight room and running those sprints. S&C on LOS separates the men from the boys in big time ball. Stone cold fact.

It does nothing. If QD is the starter, he needs the reps in the UMass game.

clemson has alabama level talent. and lots of experience. I believe Venables is an outstanding coach but he wowuld struggle with our talent unless he brings recruiters with him

Gotta agree with ya Larry... Dabo got lucky with that hire a very great hire that made the program.. i Remember the Clemson folks was wanting Debo gone..
