My god reddit is having an absolute FIELD DAY posting about the game on tons of subreddits... Florida didn't deserve to win but neither did we. Its going to be a long freaking week

A coach can fix it. BB just wants everything to be QD's fault because he has an agenda.

What's the agenda? He doesn't do it at practice. He didn't do it in the O/W game. But he will do it when it's live. If the play doesn't work initially then he panics. Take the No.1 read away and it's over with him.

Start the young guy who doesn't do it and build around him. Let him grow with the skill players and build for next year.

I agree it's now time to see what JG has when the lights come on. You forget it's been 3 years since he played meaningful reps and not 7v7. His decision making and accuracy needs to be the focus.

QD is a pocket passer only.

He is not good as a pocket passer. Bad mechanics, inaccurate, stairs down receivers etc. etc.

His strength is as a passer and he is below average. JG in his limited reps got better as the game went on. Sure he looked shaky early, but he calmed down and threw some very accurate passes. Dormady looks shaky the whole game. JG can also run. He is the better option right now. When QD's strength is also a weakness, what are we doing here? He is Worley 2.0. I'm sorry, he's a good kid, but its true. Of course, Butch played Worley over Dobbs and Ferguson so theres no chance that JG gets a start this yea.

God you are banging the drum hard for JG lol

Why I would've started him from Game 1 and got him ready to take the East this year. Butch doesn't look to build for the future. He doesn't groom potential. Idiot didn't have Chandler back returning kicks until we went down. Like what were you saving him or what? Did he not run the kick back last week? Callaway ran a punt back last year and he wouldn't use him to lighten the load on Kamara in the return game. Dude is a piece of work as a coach.

We'll squeak by UMass. Then upset UGA in Neyland, only to lose to SC.

It will be very telling how the team comes out this week. We need the leaders to step up. When you get punched in the face who is going to step up and lead this team to wins.

I was in the swamp yesterday. My too soon to be logical yet takes:

-FL fans were reasonable and behaved. They knew after the game that we just watched a "who's **** stinks less" contest.

-Loss was not Shoop's fault. Game 6-3 at end of 3rd quarter.

-please just run Kelly from QB under center with whatever down and goal to go.

-QD still has a lot of growing up to do.

-Oline pass blocked pretty well. And wore down FL D in the second half. I was optimistic about chances in OT.

-The Hail Mary is what it is. If you credit JJ and the Dobbnail Boot last year, you must honor FL execution of it against us yesterday.

-It was fun atmosphere just not result I hope for. Excited to be in Knoxville for LSU game in 8 weeks.

Who would you start at QB now?

Dormady. I have seen enough from JG in practice to know he is horribly inaccurate and not fast enough to make up for what he lacks in throwing. If we run the ball at the goaline or can hit a hard FG once every leap year then we are 3-0.

I probably wouldn't have rolled with him permanently in game one but I would have rotated them in ga tech. If he is your true dual threat and the only knock is he's young well gotta start somewhere and see what you've got. If ya lose to tech not a killer cause they're not in the sec. You need to win the east and gotta get the players prepared.

I say we start JG this week and see what the kid can do. We know what we have in Dormady. Dormady lacks mobility, stares down receivers, and uses bad judgment often. Let's be honest, we aren't going to lose to a 0-2 UMASS team. Why not let JG have this game to see if he is the guy?

Sure it's easy to harp on play calling. Turn overs and missed field goals cost us the game.

Yeah and that play by Justin Martin was one of the greatest I've ever seen. JK continues to amaze.

The problem is our coaching staff can't function in big situations. Everyone forgets that the same thing happened against UGA last year. It's just we completed our own Hail Mary.

Tennessee is the most hated fanbase on there by far. We might as well be The_Donald posters. I actually saw some highly upvoted "LOL UT ALMOST LOST TO APP STATE" jokes in default subs last year that had nothing to do with football.

Three trips to the end zone and you put it on a shaky QB instead of just handing it off to Kelly, the results were a missed field goal, one of the turnovers you mentioned, and a field goal. This is 100% what cost us this game.

The similarities to the Georgia game are uncanny.

Florida had a defensive touchdown.
Florida had a player lose ball at goal line.
Florida chucked Hail Mary to win.

The only difference is that they were dominated most the game. 130 of Florida's yards came on two plays.

This is what ive been afraid of. Lots of people that cover and watch have said he's not as great a runner as people think. He's not the second coming of Dobbs. And the biggest unknown is his accuracy and decision making cause he's a rfr.

But he is less white than Dormady and skinnier! He must be a good runner!

Difference between McElwain and Jones. McElwain learned from Saban the ultimate point is to win the football game. Jones has learned this yet. Otherwise you get Kelly the ball inside the 10 and you are in prevent regardless at the end of game.

It's why McElwain has 2 east titles and beat LSU last year. The point is to win the game.

When I see Florida defensive players gasping for air, and you are in the red zone, then I figure that is the time to run the backs and let your offensive line do work, not throw the ball.

As for quarterbacks, we got spoiled by slippery Josh Dobbs who was an incredible runner. I don't think JG will be that, (Few are) but If he doesn't throw interceptions/almost interceptions constantly, it would be a nice change from what we have now. I don't want to watch the game again, but it FELT like the offensive line was holding pretty well for Dormady so it wasn't like he was rushed.

That said, I was not thrilled with JG's ISU play (but I wasn't enthused by QD the first half of GT either or Florida performance) so give him a chance to play next week for longer than a few series and see how he does?

Obviously, bad offensive play calling was a huge reason for the loss, and if we don't use Tyler Byrd as a receiver, then why don't we use him where his talent lies--because we need him there.

JG has a quick release and a slightly better arm than dormady but has no touch and is a one read and run guy. If he's as fast as dobbs then that may work. If we just keep feeding Kelly/chandler, keeps being very creative in screen game then we can win games.

4th and 14 in the swamp in 2015 then this 63 yard bomb yesterday. The same things keep happening and he keeps making the same excuses...enough is enough.

The reason we lost wasn't QD. 2 of his 3 interceptions were on the receiver. Callaway and palmer. Palmer also dropped a td and Kelly dropped the most important one
