I have lost faith in Butch. But if he leads us back and we somehow win out I will gladly admit I was wrong.

I'd also bet a pretty strong dollar that we still don't see a ton of Guarantano or many of the other backups. Butch is gonna force that square peg in a round hole. Except it's not gonna go in.

exactly. you go under center and try 4 times if you have to.You are going to get it. You need 6 inches but instead we rather catch the snap at about the 6 in the shotgun. Nothing about it makes sense. We have been horrible in short yardage butch's entire tenure.

I still remember that 2011 Cincinnati game where we stopped like like 3 or 4 times on fourth down because they were in the shotgun. I remember thinking then why are they in all these short yardage situations in the shotgun. Just stupid. But remember though his system is infallible if executed properly.

I will say this, I think Butch has a big problem. I had several friends call me and say they are done with UT football until he's gone tonight. Never seen a response to game quite this bad.

For some of those that had hope, they don't have faith in him now. It wasn't so much as losing, as it was the play calling in certain situations.

I agree with this. The majority is fed up at this point. The negavols have been leading the charge against him all offseason. The blueprint to move to the dark side is laid out before us all. And Butch has done absolutely nothing to prove them wrong.

I shared a lot of the same concerns as the negative folks going into the year, but I wanted to see how the staff changes and new QB would look. 1 game into SEC play and I've seen enough. This is the same team with the same problems as last year and every year.

Sorry for being dramatic and negative. I don't like it. This is not my natural state. But we can do much better than this.

There are two series that I can't get over:

Having the ball on the 6-inch line with a 1st down and not running the ball a single time.

Then, towards the end, having a 1st down around the 10 with a minute left in the game and not giving the ball to Kelly (who was running stronger and stronger).

If I were the paranoid type that Lind of play calling would lead me to believe somebody had money on the game lol.

That last one gets overlooked. Run the ball at least once to bleed the clock down so if you do have to settle for a FG, you don't leave so much time for them to march down the field.
