That's just hilarious. We have some fans who get mad when younger players don't play over older ones, and we have a former journalist who is criticizing them for not starting a senior. Just ridiculous.

And whining about TK not going to media days. What in the world? Shut the hell up JB.

He didn't insinuate that Shoop is playing bad on purpose, at least not that I've seen. He is saying that we are so deep these injuries don't matter basically. He also said that TK was "jobbed" out of starting, whatever that means.

Ok. I misunderstood that part. What was the comment about not playing Coleman Thomas about?

I don't know how to link multiple tweets and replies but John Brice is replying to this thread on Twitter about TKjr injury and insinuating that Shoop is done with Jones and purposely playing bad defense. Also that TKjr should have been at media days and it was a major slight to not start him against GT. No way that is true. What has happened to Brice?

Bull****. That is a surefire way to torpedo your career, no way that is actually happening. John Brice needs to get hit by a dump truck. Twice.

We either have a normal amount of injuries and that can't be used as an excuse or we have an abnormal amount of injuries and Butch needs to be held accountable for completely mismanaging the S&C program. It's one or the other.

Flip a coin 20 times. Will you get heads exactly 10 and tails exactly ten times? Doubtful. You could get heads five times in a row. Unlikely, but it happens. Sometimes you have bad luck. Sometimes you have bad luck two seasons in a row. It can happen.

Florida hasn't started 0-2 since the 70's. If/when we beat them, nuss might be fired. They will be super down for the UK game. If and obviously this is a big if, they lose that UK game Mac would be fired shortly after imo.

How many times have they started against two straight top 25 teams?

These arbitrary records are meaningless bottom tickers.

Weird, I find myself agreeing with both of you often.

Most of us here want the same thing, a winning/contending program.

The rub comes in on how to do it. How much time does Butch get? Roster disagreements and that sort of thing.

Now some just come to argue. Some think they know everything.

Imo none of know what's going on behind the curtain and we are all guessing. I can deal with that, some can't. Some feel the need to know everything and it kills them that they don't. Some pretend they know.

Me? I'm just here for the ride.

Do you think their fans care if it was 2 ranked teams or not? 0-2 is 0-2, Mac's seat is already warm and he just came off of 2 East titles

This. How many times has their cupcake game early been canceled because of a hurricane? How many UF teams since 1990 have been this bad? You don't get bonus points for beating a pitiful team because they've historically been elite.

They'll feel literally exactly the same as if they were 1-2 and won the cupcake. 0-2 is not 0-2 when the entire universe knows they'd have won their canceled game.

So you think McElwain's seat got that hot based on one game? Surely it wasn't before then, since he just got a contract extension over the summer. They could totally implode this year which could change things, but I think you are way off base with your analysis.

are we gonna play 10 yards off their WRs tmr knowing their QB cant get them the ball and the O Line is shaky? probably i would guess. I hate that style so much.

I think most of this warm seat talk is fan generated and the talking heads just pick up on it and spread the word.

Donkeys seat won't be warm unless they implode this year and show no improvement next year.

Now if he tried to cover up some of this credit card stuff THAT could make it warm.

Even as dedicated as UF seems to be to their athletics and winning championships, I still think it take a couple bad years for him to be shown the door. Which is fine by me because I don't he is a great coach he just inherited a really good situation.

Their offense has regressed from Champ to Mac. Mac refuses to fire Nuss, and tons of fans have already lost faith in him. I never said hot, I said warm. It was a one year extension, and a raise because he won the East. A loss to UT and UK back to back would either make his seat extremely hot or fire him on the spot. They don't see Mac as a long term answer
