How am I just now realizing that we don't play UF in week 3 next year?

Week 1 - WVU
Week 2 - ETSU
Week 3 - UTEP

And UF plays Colorado State in week 3.

Actually looking further into our schedules (5 years) we dont play UF in the first 3 weeks in any of them

I'm not sure how concrete those dates are but that sounds better to me than game 2 or 3 like it has been.

Blaine was taking more of a shot at the paper that wrote that short piece of PK and his website and blog. PK is just a sensitive yankee that needs to trek back up north.

I was listening to it live and was shocked they let it go on so long. Sounded like Blaine was about to give him a good ole knuckle sandwich at the very end

Found it, but it's a Facebook link. Not really sure why Blaine brought it up, but PK really piled on him unnecessarily with insults. Glad Blaine stood his ground, by just bad radio in general.

A lot of this game rides on QD and ST. With their offense sputtering, UF will try to win the game with their D. They know we'll ride JKelly as long and as far as we can, so they'll probably stack the box and try to stop him, forcing QD to beat them with his arm. If QD stays calm and JSmith and Byrd step up, we can take the focus off Callaway and open up running lanes for Kelly and Chandler. Berry, Callaway and Chandler can all house returns. Hope one of them does it early to get the Vols out in front and feeling it.

With heavy rain in the forecast coupled with the things above, I think this game will be very ugly - at least to start. We have the better roster, but do their fresh athletes, coupled with our weak line of scrimmage (on both sides) allow them to wear us out?

Did you watch UF and Michigan? Their OL and DLines are extremely weak. That is the worst DL I have ever seen UF field. Their OL was atrocious against Michigan with 11 yards rushing and a .4 ypc average. That included a 16 yard scramble by Franks so that shows you how bad they really were.

At least we can run the ball some.

1) I don't believe in either our offensive or defensive line. This makes me a negaVol or whatever but if we can't push Indiana State or Georgia Tech around, forgive me if I'll have to believe we can have success vs. Florida when I see it with my own eyes.

2) I don't believe Florida is good in this regard either, especially when compared to some of their past teams, but I do believe Michigan is pretty good and they may have made Florida look a little bit worse than they actually are.

Did you not see our rushing yards? And that was without Dobbs. We got enough push to run the ball. We need to work on pass blocking but I think we will be fine.

Defense needs to find their rhythm. I think they will be more motivated to play Florida. We will see a different defense come out.

I don't mean to say they will shut down our running game completely. I'm just timid to say we'll be successful enough to win.

We SHOULD win. Our talent is better. Just don't know we will.
