If we're playing a lot of 4-2-5 and Bituli isn't out there around half the time at least, I'll be pretty upset most likely. If I'm UF I'm circling 53 and trying to figure out ways to attack him every play he's in the game.

UF gonna see a lot of 53 on Saturday. Half the time that will be Jumper, and the other half it will be Bituli upside down, standing over them after he knocked them the f out.

Dramatic

Bruin just speaks his mind. Don't think he cares either way how you choose to interpret it. I've come to respect it, even if I disagree with what he says on occasion.

He doesn't speak his mind. He is just a miserable contrarion troll that post dumbarse garbage just to tick people off, he has proven it over and over and over again. How can you respect somebody being a deliberate jackass?

I think UF feels they will be able to throw on us, test the CBs and Safties.

I think they take a shot right away - first or second play. Trying to give themselves a shot in the arm.

I just hope we are ready and don't help them.

I want to see us break their spirits early and often.

That team will straight give up if we start boat racing them.

We need to beat them like a rented mule....Mcelwain ,mule I see the connection.

I'll eat countless servings of crow if Butch does get things to where they need to be. I'll also be glad to eat crow if we beat Florida this Saturday. Nothing like beating a major conference rival like the Gators and I hope like heck that I'm wrong about thinking they'll win.

I hope you get to eat a ton of crow, too :)

With USC and OK looking strong, this could be a year with more than 2 undefeated teams. Maybe all 4 in the CFP undefeated.

That could well be true, and the SEC champ is almost definitely in, but I would still take 11-1 with a win over Bama if it still meant Georgia would win the East.

Same scenario but what if u drop it down to 10-2 with losses to Bama and Uga. Which one would y'all prefer

This very well could happen. I think that in this instance, I would prefer to win the East, even though we could ultimately end up 9-5, depending on the bowl game we would get if we lost the SECG.

I've been reading pages and pages of complaints.

I am no coaching expert, but you have to know that part of the reason for success would be hiring the right people as coordinators, (See Fulmer--Chavis/Cutcliffe) and assistants. Butch is open to hiring new blood and we were all excited to get Shoop, regardless of the complaining now. Another reason for success would be to recruit well. (He and his assistants do that) I don't think anyone in the country works as hard as our coach.

I also observe that the team really rallies around him, and he tries to set a good example. The players he recruited are going to the NFL.

We don't have any respect? I don't see that at all. We are ratings winners for the networks, our fans fill the stadium, and we are represented by the likes of Peyton Manning, Eric Berry and even ESPN's best Gruden admits constantly that he loves him some VOLS.

People gripe and complain, but I don't know what else Butch Jones can do besides figure out why our team gets injured so much. He got a freaking mess, because people wanted better. Now, we have it, IMO. Frankly, I trust him more than any armchair coach on VOL nation. I don't know what is going to happen this season, but I would be terribly disillusioned by TPTB if he were fired.

Well I'd start out by saying that historically, UT is a top ten program. Historically in the SEC, Alabama is a distant number one followed by Tennessee. Now I don't expect Tennessee to win a championship every year, but I do expect them to compete for one every year. In ten years time I expect Tennessee to win 1-2 conference titles. If you win the conference it's pretty much a given that you'll at least be in the national title picture. Which is about on par with what we've been historically. From an eastern division standpoint, I expect Tennessee to win the east at least once every 4-5 years. And how old do you think I am? Lol

Tennessee has finished in the Top 10, 18 out of the last 67 years (since 1950). Now, 6 of those were with Fulmer, in our greatest run ever, from 1995-2001, only finishing out of the Top 10 one time (2000). We have not finished in the Top 10 since 2001. Since 2001, we have finished in the top 25 6 times, with 2 being in the last two years. I do agree that we should compete for the East just about every year and win it every 4-5 years. I would not necessarily call us a Top 10 program all time, but our most recent history (since 2001) reflects that our program has been a good bit worse since then than it was before.

Definitely have to jump on their heads QUICK.
Get it 17-3 or so.

None of this 3 and out **** early.

Impose our will with Kelly. And turn their garbage offense over . Make that swamp start emptying early 4th quarter

Yes!! Jump on them early, take their soul and offer them no quarter and no hope. Do not give them any reason to think that they should be on the same field as you are.

If Fl connects on a deep pass on their first drive and our run game doesn't start out hot I think it will be a long day. I think our DL will dominate their OL tho, maybe not from the get go but they'll be asserting their will increasingly. I'm hoping for 5 sacks. I think they allowed 6 to Mich. This two weeks might have done a lot for their chemistry however...

Intriguing game!!

He won't get fired IMO unless he loses to Vandy or Kentucky.

Losses to South Carolina or Missouri will hurt.

This Florida game looks winnable given the current state of that team . A bad loss would be a problem.

The part that scares me a bit is McElwain has had 2 weeks to prepare. Guy can definitely create a winning game plan even with their flaws.

Sounds like somebody else likes them Swiss Cake Rolls.

Haha. Of course I do. I am a human after all, but I'm not talking about a stretchy waistband. I'm sorry I've drug this conversation on. Everybody wear what makes you happy. No judgement here. God bless and Go vols!

So has Butch and company, really. We were vanilla against Indiana state. I wouldn't be surprosed if we started UF prep before the ISU game.
