Recruiting Forum Football Talk XXXVI

Just watched most of the AU Clem game again while at the gym...
The distinctive difference in the game was O and D lines... period. AU O line couldn't give their Offense enough time and spread to run/pass effectively... Clem's D line was dominating the line of scrimmage...
This is why AL is so dominate-- they have elite O and D lines... We have GOT to upgrade the D line/depth and get consistent play out of our O line (recruiting both) if we truly want to get to the next level.
With an elite O line you have the gaps and the time to run any above average RB for days and eventually your WRs will get separation... Hopefully having Smith and bringing in Mays is the start to this. I don't know what to say about our D line... under-performing and thin on depth in year 5....

This is why I said this looks like another 7 or 8 win football team. Just don't appear to be physical enough up front on either side.

I doubt very seriously that JG could have kept his composure and made that comeback against GT.

They both have their flaws but QD has composure nailed down.

Almost Ice Man-ish poise. We shall see for sure on Saturday. Casey was undefeated in the state of Florida.

Hubbs tweeted he had been working there and Shoop confirms but certainly doesn't say he is going to be the guy. At least that is the way I interpreted it.

This is the way I understand it. He is a Sam in 4-3 and capable of playing the Mike in the 4-2-5. I think it is reaching to assume Bituli will play there. Has anyone seen a depth ("organizatonal") chart? I thought we used to release one weekly.

I am with you.

He definitely looked more comfortable with pressure mounting than at first. Was very Clausen. I hope that's the way he always is as the pressure builds the better he gets.

I ran across the box score for the UNC-Cal game. I noticed Wharton had 156 yards receiving. It's still puzzling to me how that marriage went bad. He made a great play during the bowl game and seemed headed towards a big role the following season. He wasn't such a great recruiter for his class. I just don't get it.

Have you tried the stretchy material? It's pretty awesome. Walmart and Rural King? What is wrong with you people? Do you not like to be comfortable or do you just really like wearing hideous jeans? Where do you get your white, Velcro New Balances?

I can't believe a stretch jean wearer is blasting people about fashion. Believe it or not, you don't need spandex for jeans to be comfortable, and you certainly don't need it to avoid jeans being hideous. Yoga jeans aren't fashionable, don't believe whomever told you they were.

I don't know we threw it almost 40 times against Tech. Honestly I hope we run it 2 to every 1 pass this week.

It's what we should do after seeing what Michigan did. Florida I'm sure been working to fix that but got to test it early. If need be do some of the short swing passes as the run game too get those backs in space and let them work

I would complain, but I guess the spandex jean talk beats the "fahr" Butch talk. Carry on.

Didn't some stuff go down between him, Dillon Bates, and one of their GFs?

Am I the only one that cringes every time we throw the lateral pass to a back in motion?

I swear it's a matter of time until we drop one and it's a fumble.

Yeah. You're right. Walmart and Rural King definitely know more about fashion than J. Crew or Gap or some of those places. Ask a girl what she thinks about your Rustlers. Ha. Overall, I'm just giving you guys a hard time but seriously you should give those a try. It's like wearing a cotton golf shirt versus wearing a dry fit shirt. Why would you want to be hot and uncomfortable? Go Vols!
