I think if we win, there will be few if any conversations about the last time we won in the Swamp. the conversations will be about us beating Florida for the second straight year.

That's against the rules around here. Never acknowledge that somebody else has it or had it going on. Only Butch Jones does. Even though he hasn't proven squat as far as championships are concerned.

I haven't heard anything since the game. I asked Hank after the game if the SEC neutral site he was hearing as a possibility was one of the Alabama teams to see if he heard the same as me.

Seems so.

I don't see why we couldn't play in Gainesville, but we will see what happens

He's a very good coach. He may be past his prime. Besides, it's not like that backup QB lit us up. His D won that game for him.

The thing about the swamp was never the surface/venue. It was about having enough cops,event staff, medical staff, etc being able to work the game. Everything I'm hearing seems good to go to The swamp.

Will UF be the only team to play in Florida this weekend? FIU has canceled with Indiana.

I don't know what Butch's ceiling is, he hasn't been here that long with actual talent on his team. But we know what Richt's ceiling is. So yes, I wouldn't want him here over Butch.

5 years is a pretty good pitcture. Also, don't look now but Miami looks pretty good.

Well let's see here Bass. He's won 10 or more games as a head coach 10 times. He's 11-5 in bowl games. Two SEC championships. Won the east 5 times. Recruited unbelievably well. He also won 13 games in his second season there I believe. Yep, I'll take that over Jones.

How long does it take to determine what you think his ceiling is?

What signs do you see that it is 9-10+? Genuinely curious, not trying to sound confrontational

Well Butch's first year's team was, as someone said earlier, virtually an FCS level team. That was a terrible roster and everyone knows it. His second year was more talented but they were all freshmen as we all know. It's very tough to judge Butch on his first two years as a coach at TN for that rebuilding job. He should, however, have won the east in 2015 and 2016 but he didn't. I do think without the injuries he goes 11-1 last year though, but that's just my opinion. This year is a critical year and it has already started out rough with key injuries and early struggles on defense.
