What was the stupid statement? I've said Les Miles was a very good football coach in this league like 27 times. Not backtracking a bit.

You're not picking up what I'm laying down. If I'm an AD and I give Butch an apple and a road map, I'm not hiring Les Miles. I'm simply acknowledging what a good coach that guy was and saying Butch hasn't proven that he's capable of experiencing the same level of success that Miles did. It's blind faith if anybody things Butch will.

Nope. Richt is good not great. Better than Mike's imo. There aren't many elite coaches. Only 5 or so. Rest need to become elite.

Who's the 5? Saban, Meyer, dabo, ...harbaugh? Pederson?

This is such an overrated view. They're so many examples of great coaches being replaced and the ship quickly sinking.

Lloyd Carr - rich rod
Pete carrol - kiffin.
Meyer - muschamp
Mack brown - Charlie strong

The right guy has to take over or in no time things go south.

This Florida team is as flawed as any I've seen in many many years. UT needs to go for the jugular. If they don't win this game, the feeding frenzy will be in full effect.

Just about positive I'd take Mark Richt over Butch. Don't know about any of you other fellers.

I wouldn't. Richt's ceiling at GA was 9-10 wins. Couldn't win the east in spite of TN and Florida being bad and him having elite talent. The only people I'd take over Butch would be someone that I felt confident could win the national championship. I'm not confident Richt could win the east, let alone beat Saban and win the whole thing.

If by that you mean had a slight drop from the elite programs, then I would agree. And, still, every one of those coaches drove that program straight into the crapper.
