Who is top shelf? Take out Saban, Meyer, dabo...those coaches are not going anywhere but retirement. So who's left. I bet you think Mark Richt is awful too.

Of course coaches decline. Fulmer declined along with many others. I'm arguing at the people who think Les Miles was a scrub and Butch Jones is/would have been better. Anybody who believes that has no basis because he's proven nothing.

The under-appreciation for Les Miles and Donkey is mind boggling to me. It's like people don't consider actually winning championships as a valid argument as to why a coach is better than someone who hasn't.

The table is set for us to win this weekend. We'll have most of our injured players back, including JSmith, Byrd and Williams. Our FR WRs and RBs are stepping up. QD is getting better and starting to find his confidence and develop a rhythm with the receivers. Trevor Daniel is a weapon, and our special teams are among the best in the country. D has issues, but UF's offense has more. There's just no valid reason for the Vols to lose.

Jesus. I stumbled into a Les Miles lovefest. WTF is going on in here?

This Florida team is as flawed as any I've seen in many many years. UT needs to go for the jugular. If they don't win this game, the feeding frenzy will be in full effect.

So basically there are people arguing for butch because he recruits elite level.... but are bashing les miles for recruiting elite level...even though les had way more success.

I keep hearing on here that we get no respect.. Gruden freaking loves us. Not to mention, the VOLS are always ratings winners.

Loved that they used Kamara so much (Wish they'd won). Bradford could do no wrong, though--A Peterson showed his @ss. Coach was not pleased.

Makes absolutely no sense. These people are like a jealous girlfriend who can't handle it when you glance at another girl. They say Butch is an elite recruiter but when you counter with Les was too, they say it's because he was in the state of Louisiana and he lost several instate recruits. The state of Tennessee isn't that far behind and Butch has lost several as well.

Nope. Richt is good not great. Better than Mike's imo. There aren't many elite coaches. Only 5 or so. Rest need to become elite.

No. People think Miles was ok but not top shelf. You made a horrendously stupid statement and now are backtracking.

You're not picking up what I'm laying down. If I'm an AD and I give Butch an apple and a road map, I'm not hiring Les Miles. I'm simply acknowledging what a good coach that guy was and saying Butch hasn't proven that he's capable of experiencing the same level of success that Miles did. It's blind faith if anybody things Butch will.
