To Protect and to Serve II

I'm not stupid. You have a bias towards cops and I'll give you that. It's damn hard to look at these videos and and say, yeah the cops are right, but for some reason you defend them?

To look at this as anything other than the simplification of what it is, i.e. "We can't move the barrier, you can't move the barrier while we're here, but hey, we're leaving, make your own decision" is stupidity.

I'm not defending the cop in this instance as he went as far as he probably could without, again, saying it outright or drawing a damn picture. I am saying those morons needed to actually listen to what was being said instead of being offended and not paying attention. The cop repeats the whole "we're leaving and you make an adult choice" several times. And instead of getting hit with the lightning bolt of realization of what he was saying, the moron drives over the curb instead of waiting five minutes for them to leave and moving the barriers (the adult choice) and leaving.

And somehow you think you need to side with the ones that aren't smart enough to figure this out? It's like the movies where someone says "now, I can't tell you about this because you don't have clearance. But I happen to have the file right here on my desk and I'm going to the bathroom and to grab a cup of coffee while I leave you here alone with it."

And I'm the dumb one?

And in 4 seconds, he could have avoided more social media ridicule for cops and himself by simply letting them get their car and leave. I mean dayum, is it that hard to get in a duty bound mind?

lol @ you continuing to use duty bound when you have no idea what it is.

The only people ridiculing cops on social media are idiots like yourself that can't grasp the simplicity of what happened. It's all good though. Gave me something to chuckle at, but fearful of the future if you've had children.

Please don't tell me you have offspring...

I never called you dumb, you're far from that. I will challenge you on your beliefs when they dissect from mine.

All you have to do is just say the cop should have told them to leave and this bludgeoning you are receiving will end. Not "practically" or "implied"... just leave.

I called hiM dumber than the cop that lost 4 mins of his life when he has spent 4+ hours trying to defend the cops actions.

Still waiting for his comments on the trigger happy off duty cop that assaulted the motorcyclist...

I challenge you to actually admit the two in that video were idiots for not picking up on what the cop was saying.

I further challenge you to admit you watched it with an automatic bias and zero objectivity.

Perhaps then we can find common ground to have a rational discussion on whether his actions were or were not correct.

You see, this entire hurricane/parking incident is a distraction from the real conversation that Grand does not want to have. That cop should be under the jail for attacking that motorcyclist.

He did tell them to leave. You just can't bring yourself to admit they were too stupid to pick up on it.

Funny that I rarely tread into this thread any longer. Because it's useless trying to have any discussion with you over the majority of posts you toss in here.

I watched the video. Did you want me to comment on it before we move back to how you can defend ignorance?

You're a good man GV.

F@@$ the silly azz order.

You still don't see the problem? It was silly for them to be barricade Nguyen in the first place. Even more ridiculous to not just let these people leave instead of wasting time playing charades and riddles with people that are trying to evacuate.

I'll help you take the barriers down, to hell with my job. At least you'll have your damn car!

Oh bull... you just can't vociferously defend the cops and their actions in this thread. So you selectively pick and choose your spots. Today, you figured this was your moment... but then failed when it even was obvious to you that the cop was being a jerk/toying around.

Again, under the circumstances, I would expect a cop to be professional and not being obtuse and illusive.

You would not have been fired. Rekax.

If he directly disobeyed an order he very well could have been fired. He was doing what he was ordered to do. He was trying to bend the rules but they were to stupid to or to ignorant to listen. If you have a problem with the policy take it up with his boss.

Did you get a new "Word of the Day" calendar or something?

Still not helping you spell loss or relax correctly.

Again, you miss the entire point about the cip being obtuse.

Oh wait... you didn't miss that. But you defend him anyways.

Simply letting them leave without the social media video would have been the easy decision to make.

Oh well, sucks for cops now. This clown just made their jobs a bit harder.

Is it within the rules to shoot people in the back or plant dope on people? Cops seem to have no trouble doing that, but not getting out of the way to let people evacuate.

I must not have watched the whole video. I missed the part where he shot them in the back or planted dope on them. Is there a part Deux?

On my cellphone. Forgive my spelling right now.

If that is your biggest concern instead of this jackass cop, then you obviously don't understand the simplicity of common sense.

Make sure your azz is in here the next time a cop shoots an unarmed civilian that doesn't follow a direct order.

Just look at the first 20 seconds of video and tell me if the cop was being cooperative or going into his CYA/illusive legalese.

These people, under these conditions, don't have the time or the patience for some cop mouthing off riddles.

Again, this video is 4 mins longer than it needed to be, thanks to this vop. Hell, I wold argue it wouldn't even exist at all if he would have followed common sense instead of a silly azz order.

If these people would have left when they were supposed to this never would have happened. Now they want the cop to bend the rules for them. The cop was trying to help them but they were too stupid to do what he was suggesting.
