Yeah, and...

1) They have to prove they can score 8 point first, and
2) They have beat us a lot in the last few years, but the last 2 times were by 1 point. We won last year, by 10 points.
3) We are 2 - 0. They are 0 - 1. Florida lost by 16 to Michigan.

If they are 8 points better right now, then we are simply not very good. We will know in 6 days, I guess.

That's not how I read it, at all.

I read it like this: Vegas knows where they can get a lot of early action on one side of the bet, followed by a roughly equal amonut of action on the other side of the bet, later.

They're gauging the human emotion game, not the football game.

Sometimes, gauging the betting public is a decent one-off guess about the football game itself. But in this case, there's probably too much history, emotion and baggage dragged in, throwing the secondary "logic" off.

(plus the big unknown right now: venue)

From reading all of these posts by so called FANS... you would think we lost to Georgia Tech and let Indiana State score 50 on our defense. WOW.... think a lot of you need to move to Bama so you can bask in the greatness they call Satan woops that's Saban! I also heard that several are willing to sacrifice their 12 year old virgin daughters to Gruden if he'll come be the savior of Tennessee football!!!
I for one feel that Butch has done a nice job turning a decimated Tennessee program around and has done so while running a clean program without a lot of the problems we have had under previous coaches.... lets give the man a chance as I truly believe he is trying to bring back Tennessee football to what it once was!

Thanks for the welcome! Willing to take the negavol nation on.... I just know right now we are undefeated, getting ready to face a Gator team that has shown nothing, and yet people are already writing us off because it served their predisposed outlook for the season that they want to see Butch Jones fired! We could beat Bama this year, and would be willing to bet some would complain that we were only able to do.... fill in the blank.... against them!!!

Calloway should be suspended for the credit card ordeal. The SEC states a player or players set to be suspended from a game or more by the university must do so until the punishment is over. With no game last week that would mean this is the next game up for punishment to be delivered.

I have been preparing for the storm for days. I will be in a bathroom waiting for this storm to pass over.
Your post really angered me at first but I appreciate that you came back and tried to make it right.

Let's hope that everyone makes it out okay and that the Vols beat the Gators on Saturday.

Here is how it ends. The score will be 2-0 Tennessee with 5 seconds left and Fla has no timeouts left with the ball at Tenn 5yd line and the clock is running and Butch calls a timeout so Fla can set up for a FG and win 3-2
