I still don't know what the hell difference that makes in all of this? So wait... let me get this straight... cops can shoot the hell out of people on camera or wearing body cameras with no problem. But for a cop to take down a barricade, or better yet, for them to take it down for just long enough for these people to get out and put it back, is all of a sudden just beyond reasonable? Or for the cops to be caught on camera saying take down the barricade to let yourselves out is just unthinkable and illogical?

Do you see the corner you've painted yourself in by trying to defend this cop and their silly azz barricade?

You can't be reasoned with, you can't see this objectively and you damn sure aren't smart enough to see exactly the out those two were given.

I haven't painted myself into a corner. You, on the other hand, want to defend stupidity when the rest of us can plainly see the officer told them exactly what go do once he left. Which makes you just as ignorant as they are.

Simple. Cops said they can't move the barrier. Cops said they can't move the barrier WHILE THEY ARE THERE. Cops said they are leaving. Cops said to make an adult decision once they leave.

I cannot make this any clearer or dumb myself down enough to make you grasp this simple concept.

Again, why did the cops even put it up to begin with?

Look, you can try to make an attempt to try to rationalize this situation and side with the cops. The fact is that the cops decision to even barricade this and then offer token resistance (in your opinion) by playing word games and being illusive with people trying to evacuate makes the cops look bad as a whole.

That is what you seem to be missing. Or maybe, you don't care.

I have no idea where this may have come from or how it relates to this, but whatever.

The cop should have just used common sense and served and protected. Don't offer token resistance on the side walk and engage these people when you can clearly tell they are trying to leave. The camera being on should have had zero to do with anything in this case... unless he was covering up a cop shooting or some cops planting dope on a black man with tinted windows.

Go ahead and chalk up your emotional and moral victory and do your little dance. You sure got me, Ras. I'm just not smart enough to see the logic of a policeman saying "I'm leaving and you do what the **** you want to do after I leave" and someone arguing with them.

Might want to go ahead and copy and paste this post like you do and toss it back in my face whenever you get the urge. Damn, haven't been this gotten since, well, I sure can't remember.

No, you fail to see the error in judgement that this cop made. This is not a time for a cop to be engaging in riddles and clever word play.

You can't even bring yourself to admit that even if what you're saying is true, that it was inappropriate, unprofessional and silly. Stop playing...

And I fail to see the logic in police having to waste their time to put up a bogus barricade and then going back and forth with civilians about not taking it down or when they could take it down.

The cop wasted about 4 minutes of his life by going back and forth instead of just telling them clearly and directly to leave. Because as we know, civilians get killed everyday by not following clear and direct instructions from cops. "Put your hands up", followed immediately by "Show me your I.D."... you know, that kind of clear and direct language that gets civilians killed as they reach in their back pockets...

This is where you know you lost the argument. You have to reach to other incidents to try to prove your point.

And the cop didn't waste four minutes of his life. The two idiots wasted four minutes arguing with him when he said he was going to leave. And instead of watching him leave while waving and saying "eff you, pig" as he drove off and then moving the stuff out of the way as he subtly suggested, you think he should have moved the barricade instead. You really aren't grasping the concept behind what was said, what they could do and that the cop didn't care either way. Again, I can't make this any dumber for you to understand.

Funny. I already said I didn't know why the barricade was up. Then I asked you to tell us. Which you didn't.

Now, who's avoiding that question? Do you know why the barrier was up?

And you ask why even engage in an argument with those two idiots? Because the cop was trying to be helpful in explaining to them exactly what to do once they left. And somehow, they just weren't getting it even after he tried to give it several "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" attempts that he could have cared less once he left. So, the idiot with the camera potentially damages his vehicle by driving over the curb instead of waiting until the cops left and just taking the barrier down.

Furthermore, it would have allowed others to leave as well. But, you really didn't think that far into it because your "eff cops" radar came on and you can't see just how ****ing stupid those two were.

Again, I hope one of the normal posters that have issues with cops can come in and explain how ridiculous you look right now.

Of the incidents posted, I'm much more concerned with the cop walking up on the guy on the motorcycle with his gun drawn.

For the record, if the cops aren't currently manning barricades, you should move them out of your way, especially in a parking garage.

That conversation/interaction with the cops didn't initiate as the cop handing out subtle hints. The civilian at the very beginning asked the cop clearly if they could move the barricade.

Point is, this was an exchange that the cops clearly allowed to start and engage in. Plus, it was a waste of time to even put up the barricades in the first place.

Asking these people to read into tea leaves or some subtleties when they are clearly hyped up and irate is just silly.
