Dude, you backed the wrong guy. Continuing to dig in on this makes you look much less football savy than you were previously thought of in the RF threads. Admit that he's not the guy at this point. More upside, perhaps. Not the guy as of September 9th 2017.

He is like a spoiled little immature child. Had him on for quite a while.

This exotic offense excuse is tiresome.

Shifts effected you, guess what you're going to see from better coached football teams...

Teams run on us at will, no matter the scheme they use. this has been a problem for two years. Time to fix it
Yes.

Fairley was graded out to be an OL by most. He played both ways. Was a 3*

THe full time position switch to DT was "it" for him.

But yeah, Kongbo is best as a 3 or a 5 tech. He didn't buy in last year and I wonder if that's the case now
He has no business lining up outside over KP or DT.

Or even DeAndre Johnson who looked really good yesterday in very limited reps. KP needs to start opposite DT. I would like to see what Butler looks like at SDE.

I think our team is headed up, theirs is headed down. I'd almost rather get them in Neyland now while we're figuring things out still, then go to the swamp the next 2 years when their team has deteriorated even more.

This is the way I feel too. We should be loaded next year.

Kongbo got upfield quick and made some of our biggest hits during the game. I'm talking some soul crushing hits.

I don't really understand the whole "slow" thing. He didn't get in on the million jet sweeps that got ran on us, but that was partially because of misdirection keeping him inside and partially because you look for your LBs to take care of it anyways.

We should've seen those sweeps coming from a mile away. And if we are gonna be expecting our LBs to contain the edge 1. They need to be in better position and 2. One in particular needs to have his playing time limited.

I honestly think that the players and fans all would appreciate it so much more if they would take a little more accountability. Don't spin it so much. Say that you had a tough time setting the edge, but you are going to work to fix it. That is all that anyone should expect from a post-game analysis. Good post, by the way.

That is definitely an issue. And it starts at the top.
This was classic for Derek Dooley and it's seemingly the same for this regime.

Why just enough?

Why are we rotating our OL more than our DL?

Yeah I don't buy the whole "he had it under control the whole time against GT, we were being vanilla and just doing enough to win" argument. We had a poor plan for that game and either couldn't adjust or we were willing to lose the game in the name of not getting injured.

Don't have an exact answer for Gtech, I would guess a combination of not being too prepared for the sweep and then being gassed once they broke it out caused that abortion of a game.

Versus Indiana State, the jet sweeps were oftentimes set up by tons of motion, misdirection, and unconventional sets. These things were basically done to get guys just out of position enough to give the less athletic Indiana State players a chance of getting the edge that get some yards. Even with that though, they only got 215 yards total for the game. 122 of those yards came on the ground where they only had a 3.2 ypr average. This is being blown out of proportions quite a bit IMO.

I know they were shifting guys and going in motion and all that but those motions shouldn't have been fooling anyone. If anything they were pretty much pointing out where the play was going.

Nothing is black and white with them. Man won't even name a starter at QB. He wants Dormady to play well enough so he won't have to do it himself. Man up and do it yourself as a coach. Named starters everywhere else but at the most important position on the field huh?

Tifwiw but same guy that told me about Kirkland being hurt says there is some worry about florida pushing to play on Friday.

Is the timing of Jose an issue that might get the game moved up a day?

Hasn't done it at other positions either

It was my understanding that Jose is still too far out to really know what's going to happen there.
