Every bit of it.

QD started to learn that if you just toss that thing up there, Calloway will do the rest. He needed to see that magic doesn't happen every time.

Well, actually, magic does happen everytime if you throw it to Calloway - or at least it seems that way so far. :)

Did Dobbs suck on that basis tho? I judged him as a success...flaws and all. Got a young man two games into his career that has a final verdict stamped on his case file. Remember the narrative at the end of Dobbs first season. Somewhere betwixt "why can't Butch recruit SEC caliber QBs" and "Riley Ferguson is clearly superior" (still in play because of Memphis). :loco: Buncha can't wait to be rights on this board. Check the omniscience at the door and let facts happen, people. Fatalistic doom gets noisy and I did a Narcos 3 binge last night. The Cali Cartel comes across a lot more sympathetic after reading a VN game thread. :thud:

I'm not trying to write QD off after two games by any means.

I'm troubled by some things I've seen and don't think it's unfair to question him a bit. I just want to see our QB#1 (whether it's WD, JG, or McBride, who I wasn't high on at all on a recruit and who is looking like he'll make me look good and stupid lol) play at a higher level than we've seen the first two weeks.

I don't know if they can postpone it. No other date to make it up.

Didn't Sankey also make a change in the SEC bylaws giving him full and final control over what happens in a situation like UF/UT? I can't find anything about it but I swear I remember hearing that on the radio at some point around SEC media days.

A dark horse that is just a suggestion would be Turner Field. It's artificial turf and set up for football now bc of Georgia State

I've heard the same. Orlando depending on today and tomorrow is floating on UF boards. I just don't see it happening in Gainesville or new Falcons stadium with NFL and United games schedule there for next weekend.

I think there's a weird obsession with JG with a ton of fans. They have never seen him play a snap (until yesterday) never seen him practice but they just assume he's better than QD. I guess bc he has an arm sleeve and looks "cool" is the only thing I can think of.

He has the power to make two teams move the sight and play a game, but I'm not sure if that extends to forcing a third team to let those two use their stadium.

I only saw this short clip. Maybe you could share the rest.

Couple quotes that I liked particularly for you then:
(On how defense played coming off Georgia Tech game)
“(We were) 0-11 on third down, that is good to hear. You don’t know stats like that during the
game, it’s good to hear, but you can always improve. There are always things we could do
better. WE all know we could have played better…shut them out especially. Always looking to
improve, but playing better than we did last week. We want to keep improving week-by-week.”
(On playing two exotic offenses in back-to-back weeks)
Yeah… with all the shifts and everything like that, you just got to be locked into what’s going on.
Knowing that your linebackers got your back and that they will be calling out what you need to
do and where you need to line up—everything like that. Seeing them, making sure that they are
all locked in and that they are making the right calls and all that.
(On how he feels after heavy workloads in back-to-back weeks)
“Well, that’s what you play for. You want to be out there on the field, so you feel good after
you win. That’s all I try to focus on. We got a great training staff. We got a great strength staff.
They are making sure we are all strong and healthy, so there’s nothing weird about that. We
just go to work every day.”
(On being mentally prepared for Florida week)
“Of course, you want to enjoy the win, hug mom and dad, hug my sisters, and all that, but it’s
Florida week now. It’s a different mindset. It’s a different… It’s the real season now. It’s time to
get going. It’s time for our SEC rivals.”

You can find the transcription for all the interviews, except for the mystery Callaway interview at this link.

Also, do not pay any attention to the normal sized human next to Kahlil that keeps looking around in the clip lol

Don't care where the game is played.

Don't even care if FL has everyone back. We win by 17.

May be 17-0

or 27-10

or 42-27

Doesn't matter. We will win.

It was rescheduled for October 7

The 16th-ranked Miami Hurricanes and No. 10 Florida State officially won’t be playing each other this early in the season.

And that ESPN Thursday-night Georgia Tech at UM “blackout’’ game in which the Hurricanes were wearing a special all-black uniform on Oct. 12, has also been changed.

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Saturday night that the two conference games will be moved to different dates.

The Miami at Florida State game is now Oct. 7 and the Georgia Tech at Miami game is now Oct. 14 — both on Saturdays.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is feeling the effects of Hurricane Irma,” said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. “As important as football is to all of us, these kinds of events provide perspective when you’re talking about life-threatening events and the aftermath ramifications.

“It quickly became clear that it was in the best interest of our players, coaches and fans to reschedule next week’s Miami at Florida State game. Typically, it’s not easy to reschedule games, but in this instance, there was a clear path to adjust quickly and effectively.

Grass is always greener with the other guy. Coach doesn't know anything.

This exotic offense excuse is tiresome.

Shifts effected you, guess what you're going to see from better coached football teams...

Teams run on us at will, no matter the scheme they use. this has been a problem for two years. Time to fix it

Probably from his high rating as a prospect. I do think from the little we've seen this week and in the spring that upside and potential are obvious. I'm not sure he's got the patience and maturity yet for us to ever see that come to fruition here.

My big worry is that we'll end up seeing him blossom at another school 1-2 years from now. Complete speculation on my part, but I'm starting to think that neither of our QBs is overly happy with the way the competition has been/is being handled.

If we don't play in Gainesville this weekend ..I really don't want to play in Knoxville....then have to play at UF the next 2 years. Just play in Atlanta or Charlotte.
