They are going back to the playoffs and may win back to back nattys. Clemson defense is nasty and their offense is athletic. Young QB running and taking shots. Doesn't need to have the playbook mastered like Watson to be effective.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Brent Venables is our head coach next year.

I'm bothered because throwing the ball is supposed to be his strength. He's not doing it well outside of the short throws. And once he calls a play he goes either to the primary or the check down. Doesn't read the coverage and say WR 2 or 3 is open. That bothers me from a junior who's a pocket guy and is supposed to know the offense like the back of his hand. If we've got to wait on a QB to develop then develop the one with the most potential. And it's clear who has the most.

Feels like to me he just needs more experience in feeling comfortable with his progressions, which takes more live game reps, I suppose. I like QD but he does not know the offense like the back of his hand yet with his progressions. The starring down the receiver needs alot of work. Still he is pretty good, but needs work

Do I get a helmet sticker for calling this? This was from the XXXV thread. Bump!

Honestly wish Dormady was better but you really think JG looked better tonight?

He hit Palmer deep. Hit George in the hands deep. And he puts more pressure on a defense. He can run and ISU immediately honored him when he came in. Remember the designed run they all hit him. That alone takes a defender out of coverage to help on the QB runs as a spy. Now you compromise some coverage calls and can't roll safeties all game. Callaway and Palmer would then get more single coverage especially with Kelly back there running as well. Game becomes simpler with a QB like JG. The touch and timing comes with reps. I'd play him, seeing that the QB in front of him isn't special. He threw a redzone pick with no pressure on him and a guy wide open at the top. Pre-Snap read should've let him know Callaway was one on one. You always attack one on one coverage especially with your best WR.

Two things I'm certain of

1. Dormady didn't look as good as I had hoped.

2. He still looked better than Guarantano.

JG has potential but he's not ready yet.

I think JG looks like higher potential. QD looks like he knows what he's doing more for now

Said they weren't going anywhere. Defense is elite and they're recruiting at highest level on Dabo.
