I'm feeling more and more that stidham was overrated. I know this is a top 5 D, but he looks lost and scared.

That wasn't the point with Dobbs. The point was, he was a gamer. See his performance against Carolina in 2014, Florida last year, GA the last two years, he had great performances like that. He's underrated here. But JG has elite arm talent for sure, made some good throws that should have been caught, and looked good scrambling. He did look rattled early, but so did Dormady in the first half of GA tech

Dude turned the ball over twice today. One he had all the time in the world before giving up the fumble. The second one was staring a WR down. If he was scanning the field hit guys with the football I'd have nothing to say. I'd love to watch him but he's not and he's doing the same thing he's been doing since he got to Tennessee.

I'm bothered because throwing the ball is supposed to be his strength. He's not doing it well outside of the short throws. And once he calls a play he goes either to the primary or the check down. Doesn't read the coverage and say WR 2 or 3 is open. That bothers me from a junior who's a pocket guy and is supposed to know the offense like the back of his hand. If we've got to wait on a QB to develop then develop the one with the most potential. And it's clear who has the most.

QD perplexes me. Makes a few good plays but throws off his back foot too much and stares down the receivers. Seems JG has a more lively arm and is definitely more fleet of foot.

It's getting more and more clear that you have an unfounded dislike towards QD.

No, he's an athlete who can throw.

These are good points

Exactly how I feel. Dormady may be the slightly better QB today but its clear to me that JG has more potential. Dormady hasn't looked that good to me. His stats are misleading.

He's got issues. But he's playing with confidence, stepping into throws even with pressure, etc...our qbs don't look like that.

Oh I'm not saying he's back. I've said in the offseason Fromm is better. Calling him the best QB in the sec is premature

Agreed. The only thing I've seen that makes me think QD is the better QB so far is how well he does pre-snap.

But if QD is gonna bring much to or offense, he has to be a LOT sharper going through reads, hitting guys in stride, and feeling pressure in the pocket.

You did see him outside the pocket getting g chased down by the ISU guy right?

#2 will be starting soon enough. As soon as we play a real defense they'll have no choice. Unless Callaway saves him again(which he can do), he'll be exposed and bad.

UF, UGA, Bama and LSU will destroy Dormady IMO.

Honestly wish Dormady was better but you really think JG looked better tonight?

It was a joke BB. I do think Dormady is our starter though, and it is his to lose. If he leads us to a victory over UF, it is his for the season.
