I disagree with the premise that the two situations are analogous. But let's say you are right, and Obama should have been explicitly critical of BLM, or at least elements of it.

Does that mean its okay for not Trump not to do so with white supremacy groups?

There is no one to "defend".....two incredibly dysfunctional groups of people came together looking to beat the other one down. Who is to blame? Both groups... yes..... the mayor?..... maybe..... the cops?..... partially

This may be the dumbest post on the board. We have seen what happens when a President chooses sides in cases like this. Crap gets burned down.

He is the President of the entire county. Not just certain groups.

Unlike his predecessor, he chose to not pick one side over another.

It was refreshing. Both sides have plenty of fault here.

So Jason Kessler, the organizer of the UniteTheRight rally, was an Obama supporter and organizer of Occupy movements. Also served as a correspondent for CNN.

Seems odd

Link to where you found this info? I would think it would be a large part of his platform to talk about how he was 'once an evil lib until he saw the light', yet this is all the info he has about himself on his own "About" section on his personal website...

I don't know if that's true or not but Bruce Jenner "used" to be a young male Olympic Champion. Today he is an old white woman.

People change. Sometimes for the better sometimes not.
