Charlottesville white nationalists riots

What you don't get is that Trump used the tired "condemning all hate" message as an excuse to not actually condemn the real problem in this instance, which is hate coming from a defined group of people.

All it does is feed the impression that Trump sides with them, or at least is their protector. And certainly values their support at the ballot box.

Trump is no longer just incompetent or embarrassing to thinking Americans. He's now just shameful.

..and he could still beat Hillary if the election were tomorrow.

In your biased eyes Trump can't even condemn all hate correctly. Got it. Thanks.

He made that statement immediately after the event, then specifically called them out a day later.

This is just another lame liberal attempt to attack trump and label his followers as racist. This is actually part of the problem.

The "alt-right" is a liberal boogie man.

Ras considers himself to be alt-right. Is he a white supremacist?

Again this is an attempt to group all conservatives who support trump as white supremacists. Libs have been trying to do this from the beginning.

Muh racist frogs!

I don't know Ras, but from his posts he doesn't strike me as a white supremacist. But racism and fascism are a part of the alt-right. Not everyone that identifies with that group are racist (I have friends that are Breitbart worshippers at the alter of Milo). But you can't deny there is a significant segment of the movement that are neo-Nazi thugs and traitors.

The progressive movement has its own set of fascist loons as well, with militarized black nationalists, Antifa, Communists, etc.

Significant? No, not even close

That goes for the fringe left as well.

They're just the most vocal and attract the most attention

What needs to happen is that both sides need to disavow the extreme fringe elements. The right needs to disavow the white supremacists/ neo-nazis and the left needs to disavow Antifa/ Anarcho-communists.

The fringe elements do not represent the overall ideals of each side of the political spectrum. Much to the dismay of the posters here (left and right), most people are moderate. They share views from each side. It is just a shame that the media legitimizes these fringe elements by associating them with each side of the aisle (Fox and the liberal media organizations). They are emboldening these fringe elements.

I've only been reading the last 300 posts or so, but I noticed that the smarter and more principled conservatives on this message board are not in here.

You're absolutely correct.

I don't think anyone is surprised about which clowns showed up to "defend" (I use that term loosely) or make excuses.

Yes they are. Like MSM journalists digging up posts on the Daily Stormer and reading them at press briefings

Blah blah blah. You think your smart. You are not. Now type out a clever response.

Perhaps you should actually address the issues at hand. You're not very good at insulting people without ending up with the short end of the stick. Next time, proofread before you attack someone's intellect.

He condemned white supremacists and disavowed their support for him?

I must have missed that.

Then why can't Trump bring himself to disavow white supremacists? Say he does not want their votes?

You watch too much CNN

Did you ever see that story where a BLM activist murdered 5 police, and Obama never called them out by name nor disavowed their support?

Why didn't Obama ever call out those who rioted in the black community and tell them not to vote for him?

And this isn't a tit for tat thing on my part. My point is simply apply the same standards both ways. I have no problem saying I think Trump is an idiot, but Obama was no saint either. Politicians play both sides of the fence.

Heck, I don't know. The same could be asked of the Democrats. I think both parties are equally worthless. I just point out the hypocrisy of both sides and it runs rampant. I find it hard to take anyone seriously who criticizes something else for which they or what they support are guilty of.

Does that mean Trump sides with BLM, ANTIFA, SJW? He didn't single those hate groups out either.

The alt right went into a democratic community to protest the community's rightful decision to remove a racially divisive symbol.

They went there with full intent and expectation of a volatile reception.

How were they received by the governor and mayor?

I'm guessing you supported the Taliban
When they destroyed ancient Budda statues that the Muslims found to be divisive?
