No you should not show up at all and ignore them.... they feed off the counter protests.... let them protest yelling whatever insane message they claim to support and absolutely ignore them.... no media and no counter protests.

Why is it any time someone of color breaks the law, it's racism? Protester had a permit. Anti-protesters had no permit. What Obs said is not false. Had the counter-protesters stayed away, there would have been no violence. As is, I'm sure the protesters loved it. It gave them all kinds of attention they wouldn't have otherwise received. So the counter-protesters did more harm than good in delivering their message.

Was a black nationalist driving the car? Or was it some scumbag white dude from Ohio with known ties to white supremacists that rammed a car, backed up, thought about it, and then drove into a group of people with the intent of murder and terrorism?

We will just have to disagree. I think it is one's patriotic duty to speak out against this kind of hate in their communities. Pull these idiots out of the shadows and make public their treason for all to see.

It was the black nationalists that started the chaos that got the people injured and killed.

Had the people been able to protest in peace, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Now the dude driving, should get the death penalty.

Would the nutjob have rammed his car into the crowd had he not been emboldened by the violence already occurring? Would there have been violence had the counter-protesters not shown up? Don't get me wrong, I hope nutjob gets charged and convicted of first degree murder, plus many counts of attempted murder, but cause and effect being what it is, let's not pretend blame doesn't extend beyond him. The environment all of this happened in was created by both sides, not just one.

I am in line with political correctness caused 3 people to die needlessly. Why could they not leave a statue that has been in place for 100 years? Who was hurt as badly by the blocks of granite in the last 100 years as those by the car or the helicopter crash. The blood is on your hands and people like you.

I would agree with you. The fact you have no problem with what the other side did is very telling of you.

I say **** all of them.

Okay, I do think racial rhetoric is evil, but it's not treason. And as for one's "patriotic duty", patriotism doesn't mean squashing a person's freedom of speech just because you dislike what they have to say. In fact, those trying to stifle said freedom would be the ones I consider anti-patriots. Hate the message. I do. But respect that even idiots have the right to state their opinion.

I mentioned in an earlier post that they have every right to protest. I'm not trying to suggest removing that. That is a dangerous road to go down.

But counter-protests are also protected speech, and warranted in my opinion. These people should be publicly shamed at every opportunity.

"Political correctness" aka elected officials voting on something.

Why does it matter that it was there 100 years? Plenty of crappy things have lasted way longer than that.
